Horizontally waled black cloth with upper board lettering gilt within triple-ruled gilt border, the whole within a blind single-ruling, Limited edition, octavo, pp. 144. Boards with beveled edges. Illustrations. SIGNED by the author on the limitation page, where a presentation / dedication statement is made to a Charles W. Cox and this copy is identified as Number 216 of a Limited Edition. And like Hal Smith in his 1943 book "On the Gathering of a Library," we "confess an affection for the presentation copy. The author had it in his hand. He turned its pages. He wrote in it his message of friendship or affection. Such a book is somehow consecrated. It has received an accolade and has been raised to the nobility (57)." A few scuffs and shelf rubs.

Edition limited to 500 copies, of which this is number 418, octavo, pp. [23]. Portraits of Charles Henry Higgins and Richard Norment McArthur. Shelf rubs to board tips, and foxing to preliminary and terminal pages. Withal, Very Good in the publisher's olive-shaded cloth back-strip over marbled boards with white title label on upper board.

Publisher's green cloth with faded gilt spine lettering, quarto, pp. viii, 200. Illustrated. GOOD condition with mild shelf and handling wear. Some foxing on endpapers. Christmas gift inscription from the year of publication on front paste-down. Dust jacket FAIR with nicks and chipping at spine ends and along perimeter. A little loss of paper at top edge of front panel. Jacket now protected by a new sheet of archival Brodart. See FILBY, Bibliography of American County Histories, page 53.

Dust jacket just the lightest wear, as with age & careful handling, but very good and ensconced in a sheet of protective Brodart. Reprinted from the original 1890 edition with a new introduction and annotations. Published by the Atlanta Historical Society to commemorate its 60th anniversary.

80th Anniversary Edition in the publisher's illustrated beige boards with a green plastic comb binding, octavo, pp. 440. Illustrations. Some of the handy tabs that separate the food sections have a bit of age-related foxing, else Very Good and sound. Clean and unmarked internally.

Stapled light brown wrappers, octavo, pp. [12]. Some modest edge wear to the fragile paper. Title page has worked loose from the binding and is essentially laid in. Leaves toned. GOOD withal. This edition uncommon in trade or institutional holdings, with an October 2020 OCLC search returning Auburn University only.

Publisher's original black cloth over boards with silver upper panel lettering within single-ruled silver border, octavo, pp. 101. Patterned endpapers. Frontis portrait of Hill. This copy complete with the uncommon Errata slip tipped in and the two 3-panel fold out maps: (1) University campus buildings and grounds; and (2) University of Georgia Perspective. Compilation of Addresses from Memorial Exercises held in Hill's honor at the University Chapel and other places throughout the state, including the Industrial College for Colored Youths in Savannah. Tributes by many of the day's notable Georgians, including the Honorable Andrew J. Cobb, Associate Justice Supreme Court. Of note regarding Cobb and this volume is his signature and the date "September 13 1906 Athens GA" on the front pastedown. Light generalized shelf wear. Rubbing at spine ends, and three board tips are rubbed through. Scattered foxing. GOOD condition, withal. See De Renne III: 1044.
