A very good copy with minor wear at the board edges and a bit of scuffing to the covers. Interior is clean, tight and unmarked. Self-published and with some b/w photos, 242 pp. Genealogy and family history for the Weavers, Bensons, Baliffs and Gambles, including much work from the LDS Genealogical library and databases.

KirtasBooks, 2010. Reprint. Paperback. Very Good. Thick paperback. A 2010 issue of the 1871 edition of Volume 1. KirtasBooks appears to be a print-on-demand business, but the scan and binding job are quite good. A very good copy with a lift to the front cover and minor wear at the cover edges. Previous owner has made a very few markings in regular pencil and red pencil relating to her particular family affiliations. This book has local histories of the area towns as well as biographical sketches of local natives and genealogical history of 88 founding families of the area. A treasure trove for history and genealogy buffs. 833 pp.

To Carolyn and Skip Estelle - Our common bond is our proud McDougald Heritage. I hope our lives will bring honor to "the" clan. My best wishes, Ralph Cushman." Minor bending at the spine ends and the upper corners. Binding solid and text unmarked. Unclipped jacket bright and attractive with minor shelfwear at the top edge. 246 pp., notes, bibliography, index and a selection of black and white photos at the rear. Ilustrated by the author's son.

Text clean and unmarked, binding solid though lacking in tightness. Unpaginated, but around 100 pp., some black and white photos. The personal journal of an Oregon man sent to Alaska with U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey in the early 1940's. The pages are actual reproductions of his handwritten journal.

A very good copy with a bit of soiling toward the front edge of the covers. Edges and corners are straight, text clean and unmarked. 71 pp., indexed, filled with fascinating photos of the Roosevelt Highway and bridges during their construction.

General wear at the edges and corners and a crease at the upper half of the front edge of the cover. Text is all clean and unmarked, binding is solid and no creasing at the spine. 120 pp., filled with black and white historical photos of Oregon's capital county.

Montana: Published by the author. Paperback. Fair. James Reineking. Staple-bound booklet, Signed by the author on the page facing the title page. No publication date indicated. A fair only copy with heavy wear to the edges, soiling to the covers including what looks like a ring left from a shot-glass, just for authenticity. Sticker scar to the top right corner of the rear cover. Interior is much better with pages unmarked and the staples still firmly set. the final page has some soiling and crinkling. About 50 pages, unpaginated, some black and white illustrations. A rough copy of a great local folklore collection.

Some soiling to the covers and minor wear at the corners and edges. Finger print to the bottom of the first page. Text is clean and unmarked, stapled binding is solid. 46 pp., full of sketches and historical stories from this Oregon author.

A clean and well-bound copy of this title. 247 pp., indexed, black and white photos, maps and illustrations. An examination of the overland journey of the Scott-Applegate Trail.

Nabu Press, 2010. Reprint. Paperback. Very Good. Trade paperback, oversize a Nabu public domain reprint - appears to be an electronically scanned copy of the New York Public Library's holding of the 1913 S.J. Clarke edition. The title page indicates "Volume I" though there is no volume statement on the cover. As is true with many of these scanned replicas, some of the pages are hard to read and the scanning is unclear. A very good copy with wear at the edges and light bending at the corners. Binding is solid with no creases or wide-open sections. Marked at 354 pp. - a solid history of the various townships and the original native peoples - typically poor scan quality, but the original is near impossible to find.

Chicago: Pioneer Publishing Company, 1915. First edition. Hardcover. Good. Hardbound with leather spine and tips, green boards. No jacket as issued. Volume 1 only of a 2 volume history. Leather heavily rubbed at the corners and joints and worn through to boards at the bottom corners. Long narrow scuff across the front board visible in the photo. Marbled text edges and endpapers. Hinges are solid, but some looseness at the gatherings near the center and final section. All pages intact and still bound in. Previous owner's sticker to the front pastedown, otherwise an unmarked copy. 328 pp., some black and white photo plates. A fascinating local history with chapters on aboriginal inhabitants, public buildings, township histories and church histories. Scarce in its original format.

Both of the staples are still firm and strong. 43 pp., an odd little history of Eugene, Oregon, home of the University of Oregon, complete with Zodiac charts.

An interesting inventory of the west coast settlers from the Doane family.

Unclipped jacket is fair to good with heavy wear and short tears at the edges and browning at the edges and folds. Sticker scar to the top of the rear panel. 212 pp., some black and white photos and indexes.

Texas: The Naylor Company, 1968. Hardcover. Good +/good +. Blue hardcover in dustjacket. No statement of edition, but not one of the original 100 handmade copies. A good plus copy with heavy wear at the spine ends and general shelf-wear to the edges and corners of the board. Previous owner's name to the front pastedown and a gift inscription to the first blank appear to be the only writing or markings. Binding is solid, but opens widely at the front hinge - not broken. The dustjacket has shome short tears at the joints, fading and light soil to the spine panel and edges, and a scar from a sticker removal to the rear panel. Overall a good plus copy of this history of Alpine, Oregon and the original Belknap settlement, put together by 3rd and 4th graders in pursuit of their local history. 222 pp., some black and white photos.

Interior is clean and unmarked in a solid binding - much better than the exterior. 158 pp., indexed, black and white photos throughout - a collection of reminiscences from Southwest Pacific County in Washington State, including stories of family and local history of the area. Potentially of interest to those doing family or genealogical research.
