A very good copy with minor shelfwear at the bottom corners and a couple of pages with crinkled top corners toward the last gathering. Binding is tight as if unread and pages are clean and unmarked. Unclipped dustjacket is bright and attractive with matching light wear at the edges. 307 pp., color photos at the center, the inspiring story of the Chilean Miners and their amazing rescue, now the topic for a hit motion picture.

New York: Pocket Books, 1998. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/very good. Signed without inscription by author and mountaineer Jim Wickwire. Blue hardcover, 1st edition, in dustjacket. A very good copy with bending at the spine tips and some fading along the board edges being the only flaws. Dustjacket is also very good with matching wear to the spine panel tips, corners not clipped. 322 pp., indexed, black and white photos throughout. Wickwire's autobiography of climbing peaks around the world.

Seattle: Cloudcap, 1994. First edition. Hardcover. Good/good. Yellow hardcover, 1st edition, in dustjacket. A good+ copy with bending at the corners and spine tips. Interior is clean, tight and unmarked. The dustjacket is also quite good, but with sun-fading to the spine panel and matching bending at the corners andl tips. 463 pp., some color and b/w photos. The story of the Burgess brothers and their magnificent climbing stories - a mountaineering classic.

Oregon: Billville Press, 1997. Hardcover. Good/fair. Signed and inscribed on the front free-endpaper by the author, "To Jack Hogan From Matt. Best regards Bill Robinet." Blue cloth hardcover in dustjacket, no indication of printing. A good-only copy with bumps to the corners, two pages ruffled and a spot that opens a bit too widely just after the photo section. Binding still seems solid, but not tight. The dustjacket is not as good with scuffing and fading to the panels, and short tears and crinkling to the edges. 364 pp., photos at center, short glossary at rear. Stories and anecdotes from Robinet's life as an agricultural cropduster.

A good copy but with age-toning and foxing to the cover, some text pages, and textblock edges. General wear to the cover edges and bumping at the spine tips. The interior is unmarked in a solid binding, lacking tightness. The unclipped jacket is only barely good with short tears along the panel edges and crinkling at the bottom front panel from a longer tear - now protected in mylar. 192 pp., some black and white photos. Baker was one of the founding members of The Men of the Trees - a conservationist group.

Minor bending at the corners and a bit of dark scuffing spineward at the front cover. The interior is clean, and tight as if unread. The opening 13 pages are text, and the remaining pages are high gloss directory pages describing each monument and where to find it. Fold out map at rear. 80 pp. total.

New York: Kraus Reprint, 1980. Reprint. Hardcover. Good. Howard Simon. Dark blue hardcover, lacking jacket. A good copy of this modern reprint, with dusting and minor soil and scuffing to the covers. Solid binding and hinges and straight corners. A bit of crimping to the spine tips. Pages are unmarked, but some of the final pages with thumbing, and a little bit of age toning. 233pp., illustrations by Howard Simon. The story of mountain man Jedediah Smith, and his travels in the Rockies, including furthering the path for the Oregon Trail.

Taylor is legendary for his work on wildfires in the western US.

The interior is clean and unmarked in a solid binding. Unclipped jacket is good as well, with bumping at the tips of the spine panels and general scuffing to the glossy black panels. 356 pp., indexed, black and white photo section. Cernan was active in the space program's Gemini and Apollo projects and left the final set of footprints on the moon - Apollo 17.

A Ye Galleon facsimile from reports from white settlers on the Oregon Trail. In the words of Schlicke, "The natives never actually welcomed the white Americans who came to settle the west."

The dustjacket is about good but with hard bumps to the upper corners and folds, minor scuffing, still bright. 193 pp., some black and white photos, glossary. Adams tale of sailing alone across the Pacific.

Unclipped jacket is also good with some rubbing and scuffing to the panels and matching edge-wear, but still crisp. 308 pp., black and white photos at center.
