A near fine copy with the lightest shelf-wear to cover edges and corners. Clean, unmarked and tight. Original price sticker to lower rear cover. 274 pp., photocopier quality printing as issued. A fascinating collection of oral histories from the soldiers who served in the 19th Coast Artillery during World War II.

Published by the author, 2012. Paperback. Good. Signed by the author/compiler Cleta Gresham Rokey, Bert's wife, "To Joe my good neighbor, Cleta Rokey" on the title page. A good copy but with wear to the cover edges and bending at the corner tips. The front cover has a bit of a lift. The interior is clean and unmarked and the binding is solid without creasing. 482 pp., some black and white photos at rear. A collection of Bert Rokey's letters from the South Pacific in World War II and the realities of rationing at home in Sabetha, Kansas. Rokey was part of the 24 Infantry Division, 34th Regiment - the Leyte Dragons.

A fair to good copy with the major flaw being soil to the page edges and covers. The soiling is a light brown and scattered in spots. The text is not affected, although the bottom corner of 2 pages are stuck together. General edgewear and some bending at the corner tips. Binding is solid. Previous owner's inscription on the title page from a marine in "George" company. 60 pp., filled with black and white photos and appendices detailing honors, officers and a chronology.

Signed by two of the soldiers from the Band of Brothers, Buck Compton and Don Malarkey, on the title page without inscription. Blue hardcover, 1st edition, in dustjacket. A very good copy with crimping at the spine tips and a shallow bump at the top of the rear board. Clean, square, and tight as if unread. Unclipped jacket with $24.95 price intact. Jacket has ruffling to the top panel edges and general light - bright and attractive with the 5/08 publishing marke rto the rear flap. 275 pp., indexed, black and white photo section. The story of paratrooper Buck Compton of Easy Company, nicely signed by two of the Band of Brothers.

Stated first printing but number line begins with "2." A very good copy, clean, straight and tight, with some darkening of the blue paper around the front joint. Minor shelf-wear to the spine tips. The jacket would also be very good if not for minor scuffing and soil to the panels, and rufflinga along the top edges of the panels. 346 pp., index, notes, and bibliography. Some black and white maps and charts. An in-depth look at some of the major sea battles of WWII.

Details about specific battles, soldiers, and incidents. It appears to be written from a German-sympathetic view point.

Otherwise a clean, tight and unmarked copy. 191 pp., filled with black and white photos, indexed. An examination of the time spent by U.S. troops in Britain during World War II and the effects of their presence on British culture.

Published by the author. Paperback. Fair. Babbitt, Jr., Pvt. S. D.. Green paper covers with staple and binding tape spine. Covers and binding well worn with splitting to the binding tape in several places - staples are still solidly intact. Much sunning and fading to the green of the covers. Wear and some dog-earring to the corners of the pages - text mostly clean but with some minor thumbing at the edges. 2 autographs at rear on the bound in autograph sheet - interestingly from a Canadian air force pilot and a Kentucky sargeant. Article laid in on the opening of a Magnolia Legion building. A worn but interesting time piece with great cartoons of World War II, no date present, unpaginated. Dedicated to the aerial gunners of Harlingen Air Field.

A very good copy with some crimping to teh spine tips. Clean, tight, and unmarked. The dustjacket is not as good with a short tear and crinkling to the bottom of the front fold, wear at the panel edges, and some scuffing to the panels. 523 pp., indexed, black and white photos at center. The incredible story of Pappy Gunn and his aerial exploits in World War II.

Binding is solid but lacking tightness and pages are clean and unmarked. Unclipped dustjacket is good, but with darkening and sunning to the cream colored panels and a couple of short tears at the top of the front panel. 85 pp., indexed. Tobler's account of his time in the African Campaign in the deserts of World War II.

Interior is clean, tight and unmarked. 64 pp., some black and white photos, maps and drawings. A scarce history of the Hersbruck concentration camp, dedicated to those who were murdered there.

Signed by the author on the title page, originally in silver ink and then again on top in gold - no inscription, just the name Connie Goldsmith. Pictoral hardcover in dustjacket, heavy duty binding. An as new copy, clean, square, and tight as if unread. Jacket is also like new with minor shelf-wear along the panel edges. 136 pp., filled with photos on heavy magazine style paper. The story of a Sacramento family relocated to a Japanese concentration camp in World War II, and the ways that Kiyo Sato found to thrive.

Signed and inscribed on the front endpaper by Tuskegee Airman Roger C. Terry to Inez along with a second inscription perhaps from another airman but I can't make it out well enough to verify. Photo shows both signatures. A good copy with Wear at the edges and bending and scuffing at the spine tips. Smells lightly of incense from the previous owner. Binding solid and text clean and unmarked. 160 pp., filled with black and white photos of the airmen and their planes. A great little book, nicely signed. Terry went on to challenge officer segregation in the Freeman Field officer's club incident.

Tight as if unread. 324 pp., some black and white photos. The story of a young British woman and the American airman she married in World War II.

Oregon: Knittel Publications, 1993. First edition. Paperback. Very Good. Trade paperback 1st edition in very good condition. Signed and inscribed by the author on the title page, "State Fair 2000 - Enjoy the book - a bit of history of WW II - Harold." Minor bending at the corner and light shelf-wear to the edges. Spot of discoloration to the top of the front cover, most likely from a sticker removal. 122 pp., some black and white photos. Knittel served in the European theatre and earned a purple heart and bronze star.

Vermont: Charles E. Tuttle Co.: Publishers, 1966. First edition thus. Hardcover. Very Good/fair. Blue cloth hardcover with gilt lettering, first thus, in dustjacket. A very good copy of the book in silky dark blue cloth. Minimal wear to the board edges, and some small spots of disruption to the gilt. Small dark spot to the front cover near the front edge. Spotting and light soil to the top text-block edge. Inside is clean and unmarked in a solid binding. Map section intact and in very good condition as well. The dustjacket is the problem with the rear panel nearly detached and a tear across the center of the spine panel - a heavy and bright jacket but with significant damage, chips and tears. 332 pp., indexed, black and white photos, beautifully bound.

The interior of the book is like new, clean, tight, and unmarked - as if unread. The jacket is only good with fading to the spine panel and chips and creases to the panel edges and folds. 217 pp., filled with black and white illustrations and some photos. A history of the 1st Marine Division and including its legendary Guadalcanal experiences.

Canada: 97X Squadron Royal Air Force, 1944. First edition. Paperback. Fair. Woolley, P.W.. Blue stapled pamphlet, 35 pages, a souvenir from the 97th air navigation training on Prince Edward Island. The condition is a bit rough with corners bent and curling, some pencil marks to the front cover and a note one page indicating the previous owner's relation to one of the airmen. Soil and a pencilled notation to the tan rear cover. This book seems to have been written and produced by the members of Squadron 97X during the time of their stay on PEI for training. Flight Lieutenant E.F. Dobie and Flying Officer W.J. Birrell are listed as "Men Responsible" so they may have taken and editing hand to this pamphlet. Full page bio and pictures of 21 airmen along with a cartoon, soccer match photo and description of a concert. In English, the title translates to "Chief of Artillery Colonel Edmund Zagorski Certified Artillery (1896-1974)" from the series "Polish artillery officers of the armed forces in the West." Small softcover book, signed and inscribed by the author on the half title in Polish in the year of publication. Wear at the edges and corners and a crease spineward to the front cover from being opened and read. Binding solid and all pages clean and unmarked. All wear is external. Text in Polish. 62 pp., some black and white photos from World War II. The author became an engineer for NASA and lived in Ohio at the time of the publication of this book. He was a recipient of Poland's equivalant of our Medal of Honor.
