An unusual spiral bound genealogy reference book designed in question and answer format, with potential research organization questions at the front and answers at the rear. A very good copy of this title with plastic spiral binding intact and pages all securely bound in. Clean and unmarked with some small edgewear and light soiling to the covers. 80 pp.

A very good copy with light wear at the corners of the boards, the top edge of the textblock is dyed black. Clean interior with a solid binding and hinges. Opens widely at the photo insert at center, but solidly bound. The dustjacket is not as good - corners clipped, short tears and chipping to the panel edges and a great deal of scuffing to the shiny photo photo panels. 279 pp., indexed, black and white photos sections. An extensive history of the contributions of emigrants to the mining industry in the US, specific chapters on California, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, and Colorado

Published by the author, 1984. Paperback. Good. Blue paperback in a stapled binding. Long's self-published book on genealogy based on her Rockingham Gazette newspaper articles in the early 80s. Condition would be very good but for a handful of pages with pink highlighter (I only find 5) and a handwritten phone number. Solid binding, and otherwise clean and straight. 68 pp.

Signed without inscription by first lady Barbara Bush on a blank page between the free endpaper and the half-title. "Autographed Copy" sticker to the lower front panel of the dustjacket. White and blue hardcover with bronze spine lettering, second printing in dustjacket. A very good copy with minor crimping at the spine tips and two pencilled X marks on the top and bottom textblock edge. Otherwise a clean, straight, solid copy. Unclipped jacket has minor shelfwear to the top of the panels - bright and attractive. 420 pp., indexed, color photo insert at center. Nicely signed.

Kessinger Legacy Reprints, 2010. Reprint. Hardcover. Very Good. Hardcover reprint, no dustjacket as issued. This is a reprint by the Kessinger Company - they specialize in reprinting out of copyright classics for profit. Minor bumps to the upper corners and bottom of the boards. A very good copy clean and tight - appears to be unread. 325 pp., telling the story of the author's journey down the length of the Missouri River and the experiences he had along the way.
