Oregon: University of Oregon Books, 1959. Hardcover. Good +/good. Red cloth hardcover with gilt spine lettering, in dustjacket. A good copy - clean and tight, but with minor bending at the upper corners and spine tips. Unclipped jacket is not as good with scuffing to the panels visible as white against the dark green paper, some chips and bending at the panel edges, and an indiction that the book was stored next to some spiral bound materials that have dug into the dustjacket at the joints leaving small punctures to the paper which have minimally ground through to the book joints . 226 pp., indexed, with one fold-out map toward the front of the book. Volume two in the Univeristy of Oregon Monographs series, Studies in History.

Rodale Books, 2006. Fifth Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/very good. Signed without inscription by the author on the title page. Postcard laid in at front saying "Please accept...autographed copy of Kenny Moore's fantastic biography...." from a local Eugene, OR business. Black and cream hardcover, 5th printing in dustjacket. A very good copy with crimping at the spine tips and shallow bump to the rear joint. Clean, tight, and straight - as if unread. The dustjacket is also very good, unclipped with matching wear at the head of the spine panel and an indention on the rear panel matching the bump on the rear joint of the book. A crisp and attractive jacket. 432 pp., indexed, with two black and white photo inserts. The epic biography of Bill Bowerman who let the Mighty Ducks Track and Field program for decades and had his part in designing the shoe that created Nike.

New York: Thomas Y. Crowell Company, 1946. Later printing. Hardcover. Fair. Bob Kuhn. Signed on the front free endpaper, "Sincerely, Mary Jane Carr" above a large bookblate from the previous owner. Large gift inscription on the front pastedown. Blue hardcover, lacking dustjacket, 18th printing in fair condition - heavily worn. Covers split through to the boards at the corners and joints with soil from handling and some staining. A hard bump to the top of the front board. Interior is much better - binding and hinges are solid, and no additional markings other than the mentioned signature and inscriptions at the front. The half-title page is creased but intact. 318 pp. black and white illustrations by Kuhn. This children's novel was the basis for Disney's live-action film "Westward Ho The Wagons."

Oregon: Sujo's Studios, 2007. First edition. Spiral_bound. Very Good. Signed and inscribed on the title page, "To Gael & Lew - with all my love - Sue", and then a unique hand-drawn illustration in green of a fountain pen writing "Sujo." Spiral bound softcover, stated first edition in very good condition. Clean and solid, with the spiral intact and like new. Pages are clean and well bound in. 78 pp., black and white illustrations throughout, including a fold out map at rear that identifies the locations of the historic homes illustrated in the book. Hard to find piece of local interest. The author/artist passed away in 2020.

Oregon: University of Oregon, 1936. Pamphlet. Good. Tan stapled pamphlet in good condition. Previous owner's name to the top of the front cover appears to be the only marking. Light bumping to the upper corners spineward. A clean and solid copy of this brief look at the flowering plants of Eugene. 16 pp., age-toned.

Published by the author, 1971. Paperback. Fair. Sepia toned paper covers, appears privately published with no indication of edition. A fair to good copy with heavy wear at the corners and edges, and warbling to the rear cover. Soil to the tan rear cover and spots of foxing to some of the page edges. Binding is solid but lacking in tightness, with all pages bound in. Only a trio of written comments to the book with the number 115 neatly to the bottom of the title page, indicating page 115 where there is an asterisk indicating a notation about the family - related to the brief gift inscription on the last page. 124 pp., sepia photos throughout, and a brief bibliography at rear. Independence is a logging town in northwest Oregon, near Western Oregon University and close to the state capitol, Salem.

Michigan: Sheridan Books, Inc., 2016. Paperback. Good +. Oversize paperback in good+ condition. Wear to the edges and corners including a couple of bumps to the top and bottom edges at the front of the book, and a shallow crease to the rear cover. The interior is very good - clean and unmarked in a solid binding without creases. A massive history of the athletics and other activities throughout the life-span of North Bend High School on the central Oregon coast. 472 pp., filled with photos both black and white and color, indexed, and with multiple appendices listing game a meet scores and victories.

Oregon: Oregon State University Press, 2020. First edition. Paperback. Very Good. Oblong quarto in paperback - a very good copy of the first edition with a bit of bending to the upper front corner. Otherwise a clean, tight, and well bound volume. Written by a UO professor and published at OSU - a true Oregon timepiece that helps pinpoint the beginnings of the Pacific Northwest Beer-vana movement.

New York: Two Continents Publishing Group, Ltd. and Morgan Press, 1975. Hardcover. Very Good/good +. Ella and Quincy Scott. Signed and inscribed by the author on the half-title page, "To Margery, another adventurous gal - Dorothy Ballard." Brown cloth hardcover with orange spine lettering in dustjacket, no indication of printing. A very good copy - clean, straight, and well bound. Some speckling ot the text block edges and light soil along the top edge. The dustjacket is not quite as good. Price-clipped, with a creased front flap and chips along the panel edges - still bright and attractive. 246 pp., some black and white photos and sketches from the honeymooners themselves. Written by their daughter, this book tells the story of two newly married artists on the trail to the Pacific Northwest at the turn of the 20th century.

Washington: Ye Galleon Press, 1992. Hardcover. Very Good. Green hardcover - leatherette with bright gilt titles and cover illustration (Galleon). A very good copy - clean, tight, and square. One page miscut and corner folded so it doesn't stick out past the edges. Some browning to the pastedowns, presumably from the glue used in printing. 72 pp., indexed. A Ye Galleon facsimile from reports from white settlers on the Oregon Trail. In the words of Schlicke, "The natives never actually welcomed the white Americans who came to settle the west."

Oregon: Bear Creek Press, 2008. Expanded Edition. Paperback. Very Good. Oversized softcover, 2008 expof the 2006 edition. Signed without incription by the author on the 2nd page. A very good copy with a bit of soiling toward the front edge of the covers. Edges and corners are straight, text clean and unmarked. 71 pp., indexed, filled with fascinating photos of the Roosevelt Highway and bridges during their construction.

Washington: Ye Galleon Press, 1969. Limited ed. Hardcover. Good. Blue cloth hardcover with gilt titles, lacking dustjacket. Edition limited to 504 numbered copies with this one being number 289. A good copy with minor bumping at the board corners and some darkening to the spine. Previous owner's gift inscription across the half-title appears to be the only marking. Binding is solid but lacking tightness. Mapped endpapers, oddly of Washington state. 147 pp., Ye Galleon famously created facsimiles of high value titles in the 60s and 70s.

Oregon: Reflected Images Publishers, 1998. Paperback. Good. Oversize trade paperback, no indication of printing. A good only copy with wear at the cover edges and corners, some scuffing and soil to the covers. The interior is much better, pages unmarked and binding solid though lacking tightness as if read. 256 pp., many black and white photos. Shroyer was a lumberman in Oregon for much of his life.

Signed without inscription by the author on the title page A very good copy, clean, tight and unmarked with minor wear to the covers and a scuff/scrape along the top of the front cover. 96 pp., filled with the artist's landscapes painted along the Columbia River Gorge, along the Lewis and Clark trail.

Oregon: Metropolitan Press, Publishers, 1937. First edition. Hardcover. Good/fair. Florenz Clark. Yellow cloth with green titles and cover illustration, hardcover 1st edition in dustjacket. A good book in a fair to poor jacket. Book: bending at the lower corners and a warp that pulls the back cover down and the front cover up - noticeable at the top corner. Minor soiling and darkening to the light cloth, and some sign of foxing at the text block edges but not carried into the pages. Solid in binding and hinges, but lacking tightness. An unmarked copy, clean endpapers. Dustjacket with original 1.75 price intact. The flaps are in the best condition on this jacket, clean and bright orange with black trees and lettering. The rear panel has a long and jagged tear beginning at the head of the spine and proceeding to the center of the panel. White scuffing at the front edges of the boards from rubbing on a white wall. Some scratches to the front cover. Binding and hinges are solid and the text is clean and unmarked. Some black and white photos. Families of Savage, Bollings, Rolfe, and Williams are included, with briefer content on Beebe, Byrd, Cameron, Claggett, Gannon, Goodenough, Holland, Irvine, Ketchum, Martin, McGilcrest, McNary, Merrill, Nicoll, Pitman, Ray, Shanks, South, Traverse, Ungerstedt, and Waite (Wait). 260 pp., indexed.

Portland: Metropolitan Press, Publishers, 1933. Hardcover. Good. Brown cloth hardcover with dark brown titles. No indication of printing, but 1933 date consistent on title page and copyright page. A good+ copy, clean and solid, but with bending at the corners and spine tips and a bookplate (without owner name) neatly to the front pastedown. Binding is strong, but lacking tightness. 104 pp., notes and bibliography at rear. Short stories written about the Oregon Coastal natives, based on histories and ethnographies, according to the introduction.

Texas: The Naylor Company, 1968. Hardcover. Good +/good +. Blue hardcover in dustjacket. No statement of edition, but not one of the original 100 handmade copies. A good plus copy with heavy wear at the spine ends and general shelf-wear to the edges and corners of the board. Previous owner's name to the front pastedown and a gift inscription to the first blank appear to be the only writing or markings. Binding is solid, but opens widely at the front hinge - not broken. The dustjacket has shome short tears at the joints, fading and light soil to the spine panel and edges, and a scar from a sticker removal to the rear panel. Overall a good plus copy of this history of Alpine, Oregon and the original Belknap settlement, put together by 3rd and 4th graders in pursuit of their local history. 222 pp., some black and white photos.

Oregon: Image West Press, 1982. Spiral_bound. Very Good. Signed and inscribed by the cartoonist on the title page, "To Jay - Thanks! James Cloutier." Spiral bound paperback in very good condition. Some wear to the cover edges, otherwise a clean solid copy of this cartoon Oregon daybook. Unpaginated, three days per page, each with it's own cartoon and historic event.

Oregon: Benton County Historical Society & Museum, 2003. Second printing. Spiral_bound. Good +. Spiral bound paper covers on 9.5x11 paper, stated second printing. A good+ copy with some light wear to the edges and corner. Spiral binding is still in very good condition and all the pages are firmly bound in. Previous bookstore price erased at the top of the title page appears to be the only marking. 40 pages, printed by the local county historical society, brief bibliography. Some black and white photos including two that seem to be tipped in. An interesting history of college founded by the Church of the United Brethren in Christ, including brief family history information on the children of founding members Wyatt, Springer, Gragg, and Keezel.
