Book One - the Peninsula CampaignA good plus copy of John Nist's epic of the American Civil War as first published in the Beloit Poetry Journal in 1958. One of the most respected poetry journals in existence at the time, Beloit rarely dedicated an entire issue to one work, Arguably Nist's most sought after work, this copy has minor bumping and bending at the corners and light scuffing to the back cover. Text is clean and unmarked and the stapled binding is still solid and secure. 88 pp., softcover staple bound.

Florida: Valkyrie Press, 1976. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/good. Gray cloth hardcover with red gilt titles and cover illustration. First edition stated, signed and inscribed by reknowned poet Juergensen on the front free end paper, "For Rosemary Williamson - a fellow Jerseyite - Best Wishes! Hans Juergensen June 24, 1977." A very good copy with light edge-wear at the corner and spine end tips. Interior is clean, tight and unmarked other than the author's signature and inscription. Dustjacket is good only with a 1" tear at the heel of the spine and another at the top of the front panel toward the flap. Scuffing, chips and bending to the dustjacket. 53 pp., Juergensen's poems of his journey to the holy land with an introduction by Elie Wiesel and illustrations by the author.

North Dakota: Published by the author. Paperback. Good. Signed by the author, "Sam Wilson, Manager" of the poor farm on the page opposite the dedication. Tan paper covers, no indication of publication date, but possibly 2005 or 2006 due to inclusion of "In Memory of Elmer Bratvold" - a North Dakotan who passed away in 2005. A good only copy with some soiling, and heavy wear to the edges including a couple of short tear. Corners bent. Interior is much better with pages unmarked and stapled binding solid. An interesting collection of cowboy poetry from a North Dakota local. 92 pp.

Minnesota: University of Minnesota Press, 1961. First edition. Good +/good +. Hardcover 1st edition in dustjacket. Signed and inscribed by the author on the front endpaper, "To Tot Gould - the most intelligent woman I know Rich Hugo." A good to very good coy in like jacket. Minor wear to the edges and a couple of scuffs at the spine tips and corners that bring out the white under the brown coloring. First few pages with dogears at the bottom corner (visible in picture). Binding is tight and pages are clean and unmarked. Unclipped dustjacket with matching wear at the corner and spine tips, with age toning to the lighter rear panel and folds. Signed without inscription by Major on the title page beneath his printed name, and inscribed on the half title "For C... & A..., with sincere regards and warm wishes, Clarence 3-20-88." Some soiling to the covers inside and out. A bit of a musty odor. Text clean and unmarked aside from the noted author's inscriptions. Binding solid. 64 pages, the poet's first published collection, nicely signed.

Washington: Published by the author, 1973. Hardcover. Good. Signed brown hardcover lacking dustjacket. Autographed and personalized by the author on the verso, "For Bruce Gibbins - Arthur R. "Pete" Boye Ephrata, Wash 1973." A good copy with faded gilt titles and a some general wear at the board edges. Interior is clean but for some previous price erasures to the top of the front endpaper. Stitched binding is solid but lacking in tightness. 111 pp., a collection of tales and poems from a local eastern Washington author.
