Description:
New York: Ballantine Books, 2016. First edition. Hardcover. Good/good. Signed and inscribed by Olympian Julius Achon and author John Brant on the title page "To Paige, Julius" and "For Paige, with thanks, peace, John Brant." A good copy with some crimping at the spine extremeties. Previous owner's name to the rear pastedown. A clean copy, with sunning to the top edge of the textblock. Unclipped jacket is also good - would be very good but for a crinkle to the top of the front panel that makes it not lay quite flat - bright and attractive. 248 pp., a section of color photos toward the center. The inspiring tale of Achon's efforts in the Olympics, and afterward to fund a way out of war and poverty for Ugandan children. Nicely signed.

Description:
New York: Skyhorse Publishing, 2018. Second printing. Hardcover. Very Good/very good. Signed and inscribed by Dick Foasbury and Bob Welch on the title page, "To Bill - May you soar like Foz!" and dated Oct 2018. Black hardcover with silver spine titles, 2nd printing in dustjacket. A very good copy with minimal wear to the spine tips. Interior is clean and unmarked other than the signatures. The book opens widely at the half title page, but the binding is solid, as are the hinges. The unclipped jacket is also very good- clean and bright with minimal edgewear. 282 pp., indexed, black and white photo gathering at the center. Fosbury's passing in early 2023 was a blow to the track and field community in Oregon, where he pioneered the Fosbury Flop - used by most competitors in the high jump to this day.

Description:
New York: Skyhorse Publishing, 2018. Second printing. Hardcover. Good/very good. Signed without inscription by Dick Foasbury and Bob Welch on a corporate (Sapient) holiday book plate affixed to the front free endpaper. Black hardcover with silver spine titles, 2nd printing in dustjacket. A good only copy with wear to the spine tips, bumping to the lower board corners and some dots of brown to the bottom of the front board. Interior is clean and unmarked other than the ghost of a previous bookstore price erased at the top of the ffep. The book opens widely at the half title page, but the binding is solid, as are the hinges. The unclipped jacket is much better - clean and bright with minimal edgewear. 282 pp., indexed, black and white photo gathering at the center. Fosbury's passing in early 2023 was a blow to the track and field community in Oregon, where he pioneered the Fosbury Flop - used by most competitors in the high jump to this day.
