Wear and minor bending at the corners and spine ends with some white showing through the blue at the extremities. Text clean and unmarked, binding solid. 225 pp., indexed, filled with black and white photos of this amazing pilot's life. A great biography with a special introduction by WWII hero Jimmy Doolittle.

Virginia: The Donning Company Publishers, 1993. Hardcover. Very Good/very good. Signed and inscribed by the editor on the title page, "To George Fry - Thanks! W.A. Schoneberger 12/03." Red leatherette hardcover with gilt titles, in dustjacket. No indication of printing. A very good copy with minor bending to the spine tips. Hinges are solid but lacking tightness and binding is strong. All pages clean and unmarked. The unclipped jacket is also very good with a few scuffs and crinkles, and a shallow indention to the spine panel. 416 pp., indexed, some black and white photos. Schoneberger is famous in his own right for arranging the home and upkeep of the Spruce Goose, currently here in Oregon which is likely the source of the signed copy.

Maryland: Naval Institute Press, 2006. Hardcover. Very Good/good +. Signed without inscription by the author on the half-title page. Blue hardcover with silver spine titles in dustjacket. Stated first printing but number line begins with "2." A very good copy, clean, straight and tight, with some darkening of the blue paper around the front joint. Minor shelf-wear to the spine tips. The jacket would also be very good if not for minor scuffing and soil to the panels, and rufflinga along the top edges of the panels. 346 pp., index, notes, and bibliography. Some black and white maps and charts. An in-depth look at some of the major sea battles of WWII.

New York: Hachette Books, 2016. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/good. Signed and inscribed by the author on the front free-endpaper to an acquaintance, "For Steve, Those EDI days were a great adventure. Hope your life has continued to be so! John R. Bruning." A very good copy with some crimping to teh spine tips. Clean, tight, and unmarked. The dustjacket is not as good with a short tear and crinkling to the bottom of the front fold, wear at the panel edges, and some scuffing to the panels. 523 pp., indexed, black and white photos at center. The incredible story of Pappy Gunn and his aerial exploits in World War II.

California: Pacifica Military History, 1999. Hardcover. Near Fine/good. Signed without inscription by Col. Anderson on the front free-endpaper. A near fine copy in dustjacket with no statement of edition. Gray hardcover with silver spine titles. Minor shelf-wear and a shallow bump to the front edge of the cover. Interior is clean and unmarked in a solid binding. The dustjacket is very good but with a short tear to the bottom of the rear fold - bright and attractive. 306 pp., black and white photos at center. The story of Anderson's experiences as a pilot with the 357th in Old Crow with a forward by Chuck Yeager.
