Leipzig, Germany: Otto Harrassowitz, 1937. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Thick book, 636 pp, in both German and English. Large octavo, 7" X 9 3/4". Blue cloth boards have some corner and spine end bumping with a very little fraying. Front board has bump on forward edge near bottom corner and a small bump/dent on top edge. Forward page edge and bottom have damp stain which enters margins of pages but does not affect text. Top and bottom page edges have faint spotting. Edges are tanned.

Front hinge is loosening, and rear hinge is starting to split but held by webbing from manufacturer. Some bumping to corners and spine ends and slight rubbing and spotting to boards. Gift inscription on ffep, "Presented, 1930, to Claude F. Dally by his grandmother, Mrs. Jennie Van Gilder of Lincoln, Nebraska. (See No. 375, Pg. 330)". A few instances ofl notes, corrections and markings on pages.
