Edges have some creasing with small tears - 1" tear on top edge of rear panel. Light rubbing shows on front white background.

Victorian depiction of the English countryside - "Drawn and Described by Mrs. Willingham Rawnsley" - 166 pp. with 16 full color reproductions of the lady's art. Green boards with gilt leaf motif and print. Boards have slight spotting with a little darkening, as is the spine. Corners and spine ends have light bumping. Pages are age-yellowed and edges have foxing/spotting. End papers are fairly heavily foxed, and pages have occasional foxing, spotting and damp stains - none of which affect text or the lovely illustrations. Opens to gutter in places. A lovely reminder of a simpler and more genteel time.

Previous owner's name on front free end paper. Light foxing on front and rear free papers, and all pages are yellowed somewhat. Fore edge has spotting, and there is shelf foiling on bottom edge. Gilt bright on spine.

Guide of English monarchs beginning with Queen Elizabeth II and going back in history. 308 pp. Tight and clean copy with light wear on corners and bumping on spine ends. Light spotting on page edges. Dust jacket has slight creasing and chipping - spine has two closed tears, one about 3" and the other about 2" from base. Gold background shows a little dark rubbing.

Noted historian Antonia Fraser gives the biographies of the rulers of England from the Normans (William the Conqueror) to the Windsors (Queen Elizabeth !!). Well illustrated. Book is clean and crisp with slight bumping to corners. Dust jacket is bright and crisp with very slight chipping and edgewear with a small tear on bottom edge of spine at back hinge. Very pretty book.

White backtround is slightly darkened on top edge and base of spine.

Pages have yellowed somewhat. Gift inscription on front end papers signed by 30 persons of what appears to be a college class - class of '41. Gold color of dust jacket has darkened a little and shows creasing, chipping and tearing. Also foxing on back cover and inside edge above pages. Now in mylar cover.

Stiff paper wraps with flaps front and back. Intact, but wear on top of spine, about 1" split. Some rubbing on folds, spine edges and a little on front cover. Chipping and loss on bottom of spine and a little along fron spine hinge. Clean interior.

Clipped dust jacket is intact, though rear is missing a large section from top, approx. 3"W X 3 1/4"H. Other pieces missing on front top edge, about 1 1/2" X 3/4" and at spine bottom - 1 1/2" X 1/2" Now in protective covering.
