Wife of Houston insurance mogul and philanthropist Gus Wortham, Lyndal Finley Wortham signed these travel tales on front free end paper, 'Health, happiness and Long Life' with her signature and date, July 8, 1968. This is #203 of an edition of 500. 323 pp. Book has very slight right lean and minor edgewear. An instance or two of page creased. Dust jacket has corner clipped but price is written in pencil. Bright teal blue background shows some chipping, especially on spine ends, with fraying. Rear hinge has two small punctures, and flapfolds show some rubbing Now in protective cover.

Personal accounts from the "Citizen Soldiers" who made up the American troops who made the harrowing Normandy Invasion. This is a reprint and is the first edition thus. Book is unread and without apparent flaw; dust jacket has some scratching on back which doesn't mar color or print, and can only be seen in certain light.

Findley signed the the front free end paper with inscription "o Betty and Warren with best wishes.." and dated 7-15-10..Memoir of a true-life adventurer with cave exploration, scuba & sky diving , service in the Navy in WWII, along with other pranks and close calls. 621 pp. Last several pages are wavy at bottom edge as if affected by damp, and back board has damp stain on rear paste down paper and board has slight bow at the hinge. Interior pages are clean and bright. Dust jacket is bright and crisp.

From the dust jacket, "An abridgement of the six volumes of 'The Second World War'" 1063 pp. Light edgewear on red boards. Previous owner's name on front pasted down paper, and one page dogeared. Bottom edges of boards have some blue flecks which may have come from a bookcase on which the book sat. Pages are somewhat yellowed from age. Dust jacket has very light chipping, tearing and creasing.

Memoirs of his service in the 179th Infantry Brigade, AEF. Includes stories published in various magazines and photos of the author and his wife. The photos have been glued in. Paper covers are light and have some smudging and rubbing. Corners are curling some and the brown fabric on the spine has been bumped at spine ends with top end fraying some. Surely an unusual and scarce find.
