Loaded with photos of and around NYC in 1899. 2 loose of Rockaway River and Morris canal. A couple on a Tandem bicycle, People, Houses, Pets, Several ships in NYC harbor, 'Oceanic' White Star Line ship which was at the time the largest ship in the world. Also some of the 'Negro Houses', and other rare antiquarian views. A must see, email for photos. 'Edna Merritt 1899' on the blank before the photos.

Oversized periodical for this county in Northern New Hampshire. One of the best and most well-known & liked of the early White Mountains Photographers from New Hampshire. 24 pages of photo illustrated history, this story and 3 shorter others as well as local ads, etc... A large magazine measuring 14" x 11"...22" when opened. I know of no other history about this great photographer. Small hole along spine, else near fine.

An unframed mounted print of Glen Ellis Falls in Jackson, NH measuring 5" x 8" with the bd. approximately 7" x 10", with the original DD Studio label affixed to the rear, uncommon thus. DD did many hand-colored photos in and around the White Mountains of NH. In my opinion a skilled photographer whose work was initially simlar to that of Wallace Nutting but in later years he turned to his native New England for many subjects. Like Guy Shorey he worked mostly alone and never gained the fame of either Nutting or Charles Sawyer another contemporary. He did win several Medals of Merit at the International Exposition at San Francisco in 1915 at the age of 34.
