Old bookdealer's blindstamp on title page. Lightly smudged and soiled, but covers are still quite vivid and in excellent condition. Frontis is a chromolith. Balance of illustrations: B&W.. Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.: Little Brown & Co, 1979. 11 5/8" X 8 1/2" in illustrated heavy paper covers. FINE or better condition. I remember these books from when I was a kid (years ago). This particular one was originally published in 1947. These stories and the colorful cartooning very nicely stand the test of time, so that this volume which came out in 1979 is as cute and fresh and interesting as it was 40 years ago. 62pp.. 3rd Edition. Unfortunately, the tissue guards are missing and there is some "bleeding" from picures to the following pages and some damage to chromos from adhering to the following pages.
