This book is made up of a series of 18 lectures delivered by the author at University College Hospital [London?] on diseases of the brain plus a 5 part discussion of diseases of the spinal cord. Very spiffy inside and out except leather is splitting along edge of spine by front cover: therefore just GOOD condition- otherwise, I would rate it VERY GOOD PLUS. This is a year's worth of a hundred + year old medical journal bound together - January through December 1899. 496pp, including index. The editor excerted medical articles from around the world. There is a great deal of historical interest. So much was unknown at the time, one gets the feeling from reading these articles that the doctors were feeling their way in the dark.. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket.

This is a bound volume of monthly issues of a 100 + year old medical journal. NOTE: The owner would have received these monthly, preserved them, and then taken them to the binder to be made into a book. However, for some reason, the issue for NOVEMBER is not included in the volume. There is a total of 448pp with that issue not present. The editor excepted medicine-related articles from all over the world. There is much of historical interest here - many quaint notions about illnesses and treatment.. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket.
