Chipping at base of Vol. 1, water stain on inside of cover [only]. Pages are remarkably very clean: GOOD PLUS or better condition. Oddly paginated by sections. Both are the size of a medium sized phone book. Together they cover absolutely every system of the car in minute detail. This is the kind of service manual you can only get from the manufacturer. Cadillac Motor Car Co, Detroit, MI, 1918. 9" X 6" in heavy purple Paper covers. Covers have split precisely along the ridge of the spine. Front cover has detached but still present. Covers are a little faded, owner's name and "1918" written at top front corner [otherwise, the book is undated. Contents are unmarked and in excellent condition. There are several fold-out diagrams of guns or mechanisms of guns. One has separated in 2 parts along the folds. Everything is there, however. The book is tab indexed for Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Oldsmobile, Plymouth, Pontiac, and Rambler. Wierdly paginated - probably around 400pp.. Hardcover. Traffic Motor Truck Corporation, St. Louis, MO, 1920. This is a 90 year old instruction book and catalog of parts for a long defunct brand of truck. The book is divided into sections, each covering a different system in the truck and accompanied by a list of parts and detailed labelled diagrams - most of them of the fold-out variety. 9 1/4" X 6 1/8" on heavy gray paper covers. FAIR PLUS condition. This book was used for the purpose intended, and it has its share of greasy thumb prints to show for it. All the diagrams are OK except 2. Both are torn, but crudely patched together with tape. Everything is here. [RARE]. 1st Edition. Soft cover. Fair/No Jacket.

Weed, Parsons and Company, Albany, 1861. 5.875" X 4.75" in red leather with gilt scroll work and lettering. All edges gilt. A little soil on the leather covers; spine darkened with age but fully legible; 2 TINY breaks in the leather hinges at top and bottom of front cover. NOTE that the prior owner's name and the donor of the book are both embossed in gold on front cover. This is not a fault, just the way things were done: NEAR FINE condition. This volume is over 150 years old, yet it is still gorgeous. It is tight, clean and unmarked. It is filled with all sorts of obscure facts about New York, like a gazetteer or almanac (District attorneys of each county; Meeting days for town councils; list of savings banks; etc. etc.) Fold-out floor plans of both legislative chambers inside front cover. 564pp. [BD065]. 1st Edition.
