Zenith Jones Brown was a prolific mystery author writing under a number of psudonyms including Leslie Ford. Her title, Murder in the P.M. is one of 14 Mrs. Latham and Col. Primrose novels. Cornell Woolrich was another prolific writer of crime and detective fiction which he published under many names, The Phantom Lady, being the first published under the pseudonym William Irish. Many of his stories were made into films including his, It Had to be Murder, which Alfred Hitchcock filmed as Rear Window. Husband and wife team Frances and Richard Lockridge, co-presidents of the Mystery Writers of America were the creators of the acclaimed Mr. and Mrs. North series of books along with the Lt.
