Newburyport Boston: John Mycall, 1789. 3rd edtion in America, full calf. Boards are quite rubbed, edgeworn, lettering on spine completely faded and the remains of the raised bands are worn almost flush. Some foxing of interior pages, more prominent on endpapers as expected. Front hinge is starting, however remainder of book is clean and tight. . First Thus. Leather. Fair.

London: A. Millar in the Strand, 1753. Leather, 5th edition revised and corrected from 1753 complete in four volumes. 5 raised bands on spine, (faded) gilt titles and volume numbers in compartments. Each volume presents some overall wear, with light age toning and some minor foxing - primarily confined to the prelims. Hinges are relatively sound, with the exception of volume 4 which is quite tender. Mild scuffing on all covers. Interior pages are clean, bright and solidly bound. All in all a handsome set from the mid 1700s.. Leather. Good.
