Oblong decorative wrappers, tied with orange string. An 8-page booklet comprising a list of patronesses, a program of music, and a photograph. Fine condition.

Ottawa: Orme, [c.1873]. . Sheet music, 4 leaves, disbound from a volume. Remains of stitching at spine, very good condition. Small circular ink stamp at lower front cover, from a Montreal distributor. This copy has been trimmed slightly to fit into the binding, affecting the first word of the title at the top, and the imprint at the bottom. A nice lithographic cover depicting the Countess of Dufferin [Hariot Georgina Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, Marchioness of Dufferin and Ava; 1843 - 1936]. Illustrated ads on the rear cover are for J.L. Orme & Son, music and instrument dealers in Ottawa. Lady Dufferin is notable for having led an initiative to improve medical care for women in British India, which she undertook to do at the request of Queen Victoria.

Argentina: Cortizo Editor, (1995).. 4to., colour pictorial wrappers, [192]pp. Illustrated with many drawings in the text, and some plates in colour. Notes in pencil (translation) on one page, lower corner bumped, a nice clean copy otherwise. An anthology of poems and art about Tango. Text is in Spanish.

Herrn Professor Dr. Anton Kippenberg zum 22. Mai 1934 gewidmet von der Frankfurter Bibliophilengesellschaft und Frankfurter Frennden. Original gray printer wrappers. A 16-page booklet. Three color plates are laid in. The front cover reproduces that of an edition of 1776. Slight chipping to top of spine, a few red marks to lower front wrapper, in general a nice clean copy.

Edinburgh: Chambers, [c.1872]. Self-wrappers, 28pp. Illustration on front leaf, tailpiece illustration on final leaf. Split in first leaf at upper left corner, dust-soiling, very good. Issued as No. 88 in Chambers Miscellany of Instructive and Entertaining Tracts. Includes The Eve of St John by Walter Scott, The Mermaid by Leyden, The Nut-Brown Maid, others.

anticat16. London: Goulding & D'Almaine, [c.1825]. Oblong, half-calf & marbled boards, spine designed and lettered in gilt. Marbled end papers. The boards very rubbed, wear to corners, front board detached, yellow tape marks to front end papers from ancient tape, last leaf and rear end paper detached; basically very good otherwise. 246 pages. The first three numbers bound together, each with an engraved title page; a fourth part was published, not present here. At the front is a decorative engraved title page, with the title spelled: Duetts. A scarce compilation of the popular songs of the day.

Boston, etc.: White-Smith, 1896. Revised Edition. . 4to., decorative printed boards, black cloth spine. 152pp. Inner hinges cracked, paper chipped from fore-edge of covers, some fraying to spine ends, a very good copy generally. First published 1884, this is the revised edition of 1896.

Montreal: Wm. Foster Brown, 1896.. 190pp. Red cloth, front cover designed and lettered in gilt. Floral end papers. Light rubbing of cloth, a very nice bright copy. Considerably revised and expanded from the previous edition of 1885.

Paris: Au Menestrel / Heugel et Fils, 1880. Original slate printed wrappers, somewhat chipped at edges and mounted on backing paper, bound in contemporary quarter-calf & marbled boards, marbled end papers. Two portraits, manuscript facsimile of Don Juan. Scattered foxing, fairly heavy in places, small publisher's ink stamp on title, some scuffing to spine extremities, a very good copy.

Dark blue cloth, black spine, front cover lettered in light blue and designed in black & gilt; spine designed and lettered in gilt. Spectacular Art Nouveau end papers printed in black, blue, and silver. Decorative title page and facing series page, and a small decorative panel on the verso of the title with the legend: BuchSchMuch von Franz Stassen. Some decorative headpieces and divisional half-title pages. Notes in pen on front blank, pencil marks in margins throughout, a few bumps to edges and modest wear to spine extremities, but generally quite a pleasant copy. Issued in the series: Bucher des Weisheit und Schonheit.

Halifax: Peiler, Sichel, [c.1870].. Sheet music, 3 leaves, disbound from a volume. Remains of stitching at spine, very good condition. This copy has likely been trimmed slightly to fit into the binding. Of several possible songs, this one contains "Full Speed, Galop". Decorative front wrapper. Small piece from the margin of the second leaf. Robinson governed Prince Edward Island from 1870 - 1873, and was instrumental in helping the island join a union with Canada. He authored many musical works, especially later when acting as governor of South Australia (1883 - 1889)

Los Angeles: Interscope Records, 1991. This is a promo packet for the band PRIMUS, promoting the album SAILING THE SEAS OF CHEESE. Three glossy 8 x 10 inch photos, and 5 pages of printed biographical info on three sheets (stapled). Fine condition.

Halifax, N.S.: Peiler, Sichel & Co., [1871].. Sheet music, 5 leaves, disbound from a volume. Remains of stitching at spine, very good condition. This copy has been trimmed slightly to fit into the binding. Ownership inscription at the top dated 1872. The imprint is partly covered by the sticker of J.P. Hagarty, Musical Warehouse, Halifax, and their ink stamp is on the inner cover and first leaf (sticker and stamps slightly trimmed). A nice lithographic cover depicting this ship, which was launched in 1867, and which sailed between Halifax and the West Indies. Very scarce.

London: Turnour, [c.1840]. Fifth Edition. Disbound, self-wrappers, 8vo., 16 pages. Indents on spine where removed from a binding, a little browning to edges, very light wear, very good. This booklet contains ads for music published by Hill & Co. including the scores for the Devil's Opera. This booklet contains the lyrics for the musical numbers in the play, and would have been sold in the theatre for use at the performance.

London: T. Williams, [1825]. First edition.. anticat16. 8vo. 48pp. Contemporary green boards, red leather spine designed and lettered in gilt. Grey coated end papers. Decorative title page and frontispiece of Madame Vestris. Rubbed at edges, some wear to tips and spine ends, some foxing and offsetting to pages, a few bent page corners; in general a very good copy. On the spine is: Vol. I; evidently the only volume published. Published undated, the date of 1825 is obtained from the copy in the British Library.

London: H. D'Alcorn, [c.1879]. . 4pp., a single leaf once folded. Non-pictorial; the initial letters of "Uncle Tom's Cabin" are in a decorative tree/twig font. Back cover is blank. Words by Walter Burnot. Arranged by J.E. Mallandaine. Some short marginal tears, a little soiling to lower front cover, very good condition. An ownership signature on the front cover is dated 1879. The lyrics for this song were published as a broadside by Wehman in New York [Goldstein Collection - undated]; the lyrics in this British sheet music are very different from those on the American broadside. The Wehman broadside advertises the music for the song as available for 35 cents; we can find no record of a copy of it. This London edition is also very scarce; it is not listed in WorldCat or any other reference work which we could access.
