Hardcover, thin green boards with yellow title on front. Exterior shows minor scuffing and soiling along with edge and corner bumps. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. Pages are tone due to age and some minor foxing and spotting is present. A couple pages had corner folds but no handwriting, signatures or bookplates were found in book. Rear pace down shows a wear mark near the gutter where the surface of the paper is missing.

New York: A. R. Keller & Company, 1911. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, blue cloth boards with decorations on front and gilt text on spine. Front cover has bright colors though some rubbing is present. The reason for the low grade is the upper left section of the front board has some rippling, as does the extreme top left rear board. This may have been caused by exposure to moisture. The front interior pastedown also show some wrinkling in a very minor split near the top of the hinge. Remaining text pages are good, no hinge issues. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings. The only issue found on the interior pages is on the third page of Lists of Illustrations (in the front of the book), where there is a small chip on the fore edge, near the upper outside corner. Chicago, IL: The Reilly and Britton Co., 1912. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good+. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Hardcover, no DJ. No hinge cracks, bookplates or handwriting. Only interior issues is a few soiling spots and some pages that had the corner folded over. The folds appear more of a binders issue rather than a poor man's bookmark. Corners have been straightened out. Exterior shows moderate soiling and front bottom right of front board has a small scrape. White mark on spine - possibly paint. More of a VG- rather than a G+ rating.

New York: Prentice-Hall Inc., 1949. Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, no dust jacket as issued. Blue cloth boards with silver design and text. Exterior shows minor soiling along with edge and corner bumps. No signatures or bookplates present. Binding good. Interior pages are toned due to age and some foxing/smudges are present. Only handwriting found in book was on the front end page in the extreme upper right corner, where an old store price was once penciled and then erased. The rear pastedown has a pocket that contains seven small maps.

Boston And New York: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1926. Hardcover. Good+. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Hardcover, no dust jacket. Red cloth boards with gilt on front and spine. You rather unique copy as this is not part of the limited edition run. This is inscribed and signed by the pilot as a Christmas gift. Inscription is on the front free end page and read as follows: " To Wm Moore Patch with sincere regards from Edward S. Evans - Xmas '26". No other handwriting noted, no bookplates. Pages are toned with some foxing and occasional smudge prints present. Exterior shows soiling as well. Corners softened. No hinge issues. See photos.

New Haven, CT: Readers Press, 1969. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. VG+/Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with dust jacket. Original price of $5.95 is still present on the front flap. DJ is worn and tattered along the edges with chips and small tears, minor creasing is present and there's a price tag on the front lower right corner. Small hole in dust jacket on hinge area just below the title. Red cloth boards underneath are clean and bright. Only issue found (which is why this book is not graded near fine) is there is a small tear in the cloth in the upper left corner of the front board, right at the hinge area. This damage measures less than one half of an inch. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no remainder marks. Stated first printing on the copyright page.

New York: Theo. Audel & Co., 1943. Hardcover. VG-. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, no dust jacket. Tan cloth boards with black design on front and spine. Exterior shows corner and edge bumping as well as soiling, darker stain on rear board. Interior is in much better shape than the exterior. Red end pages contain no signatures or bookplates. Pages are lightly toned due to age but are clean, no handwriting, no hinge cracks, binding is tight. Front end page shows very faint evidence of possibly a price once penciled in the upper corner, which was later erased. Copyright page states reprinted 1943.

New York: Theo. Audel & Co., 1951. Hardcover. Fine. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, thin black cloth boards, stamped on front and gilt on spine. Exterior still has the original shine shows only minor bumps and scuffs. Dark red end pages in front and rear are free of any handwriting, signatures or bookplates, no hinge issues. Pages are mildly toned but binding is tight and pages are clean. The book does not appear to have seen much use, if any. Only issue that shows its age is the top textblock edge on the exterior the book has been very light spotting.

Previous owner's name on pastedown and embossed logo on front end page. No other handwriting noted. 183p. plus ads.

Hardcover, dark green cloth boards with gilt text on spine. Exterior shows minor edge and corner bumps, front board has a bent near the center and rear board has some soiling near the bottom edge. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. No handwriting, no signatures or bookplates, no library markings present. Paper is toned due to age and there's about a dozen pages with some grease smears on them. Stated first edition on the title page. This is the first printing as well.

Philadelphia, PA: Chilton Company, 1952. 3rd Edition . Hardcover. VG-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition. Hardcover, tan cloth boards show soiling and scuffing, is a small pen mark on the front cover along with light edge bumping. The interior is in much better shape, no hinge issues and binding is secure. There are no signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no greasy fingerprints on the pages, nothing torn or loose. Text pages are clean though the end pages and pastedowns show foxing spots. The only evidence of handwriting found in the book is on the front end page, upper corner, where you can just barely see were and all price was once penciled and then later erased. Copyright page states third edition. The reason for the lower condition grade is only because of the marks on the exterior cloth boards of the book.

Chicago, IL: Frederick J. Drake & Co., 1929. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, tan cloth boards black text on front and spine. Exterior shows soiling and spotting on all sides, including spine. Corners show bumping with the lower right front being the worst. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues at boards but pages 12/13 show small tearing at the gutter where it appears the binders glue bled in about an eighth of an inch near the top - causing the 2 pages to stick together. Front pastedown shows original owner's name and address. The remaining pages are toned due to age and some minor spotting and soiling is present, though appears to be limited to the end pages. No other handwriting found in book.

Washington, DC: Government Printing Office, 1932. Soft cover. Poor. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. See photos for condition details. Tall softcover, measuring just under 10 inches in height. Pale green wraps with black text on front. The reason for the poor condition grade is because the front cover is heavily stained and these dampstains can also be seen, to a lesser degree, on most the pages within the book. Wraps also show bumps, creases and small tears. Although the pages are stained with some rippling in spots the book is still very readable and very usable. Front cover shows tearing along the spine edge spine shows chipping and tears as well. No signatures or bookplates inside, no handwriting, no library markings. One of the pages had a small upper corner fold which has been straightened out. Binding of interior pages strong. Though the dampstains are prominent it is not affected and the of the pages to the degree where they were ever stuck together.

DJ shows scuffing and toning along with edge crimps and small tears. Green cloth boards underneath show spotting to the cloth, particularly along the bottom edge of both boards, the rear board has more than the front. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues. There are no signatures or bookplates, no library markings. The front end page does show were price was once penciled in the corner and the front pastedown through the half title page has an indentation and marks showing were a paperclip once was. This clip held in two business cards for people at the Westinghouse Brake and Signal Co. LTD.. These cards are included with the book but the paperclip has been removed and the cards have been placed in a glassine envelope.

New York: G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1931. 1st Edition . Hardcover. VG-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, red cloth boards black text on front and spine. Cloth shows soiling and spotting along with some edge bumping. Generically inscribed and signed by the author on the front end page: " To my Wulamat friend, Bob Buck 1931". No other handwriting noted, no bookplates present. Minor foxing is present. First edition thus.

Red cloth boards black design on front and spine. Exterior cloth and page edges have spotting and edge wear. No signatures or bookplates noted, no hinge issues. Interior pages are toned with foxing mainly limited to the end pages along with a couple scattered smudge prints.

London: His Majesty's Stationery Office, 1931. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good+. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original 1931 publication and not a modern reprint. Gray cloth boards with black text on front and spine. Exterior shows spotting and soiling, edges and corners show bumps/wear. Spine is also mildly sunned. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues. The front pastedown contains a pasted in note which has left a shadow on the opposite end page which also has "R.A. Montes de Oca" penned along the top edge. No other handwriting found in the book. Pages are tones due to age and the pages do have a slight wave to them. This appears to be the way the book was bound. The edge bump that can be seen on the image showing the rear board is also on a few of the interior pages. The book contains numerous fold outs showing engine architecture as well as numerous charts and graphs and other illustrations and photographs.

New Delhi: Amerind Publishing Co. Pvt. Ltd., 1973. Hardcover. Fine/Good+. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with original dust jacket. The DJ shows only minor edge and corner bumps and wear but there are two large tears - the one at the top of the spine and one at the bottom. Maroon cloth boards underneath are still clean and bright. Interior binding is tight like book was never read. No signatures or bookplates, no underlining or library markings. Title page states this was published for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the National Science Foundation and also shows document reference TT 72-52005 and NASA TT F-725 and was translated from the Russian publication from Nauka Publishers.

DJ is soiled and chipped along with tearing to edges. One of the tears has an old tape repair on the underside. The price is clipped on the front flap. Blue cloth boards and neat show spotting and fade spots but are clean. Front board having gained in the lower center edge. Decorated end pages and front and rear are free and clear of any signatures or bookplates. Binding is good, no hinge issues present. Minor foxing is present though mainly limited to the end pages.

Red cloth with gilt on front and spine. End pages show advertising. Total page count is 375 pp describing as locations and another 76 pp for the appendix and hotel coupons. No page is clipped, no coupons missing. End pages are darkened with age and front hinge has a rear crack. Pages toned with foxing and show wear.
