DJ shows scuffing and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. Red cloth boards underneath show some smudge marks along with minor wear, with the worst being the bottom right corner area of the rear board. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight like the book was hardly used. No signatures or bookplates, no handwriting, no underlining, no remainder marks, no library markings. Text pages are clean but end pages and pastedowns show some smudge marks and brown staining near the lower inside corner areas.

Inscribed and signed by the horse owners on the front end page. DJ shows quite a bit of scuffing along with chips and tears, several creases at the top of the rear jacket portion. The original prices of $8.95/70s/£3.50 are all still present on the front flap. Green cloth boards underneath or clean with only minor fading to some of the edges, corners show some light bumping. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. No bookplates or library markings, no remainder marks, no other handwriting than the inscription which reads: "To Betty + John Filoni (??) Thanks for being a part of Meadow Lands Farm and Adios through the years. Best always, Mary Lib + Del Miller. 5/31/71".

Exterior is clean and shows little wear. The worst issue being a small bump on the front board along the top edge. Decorated end pages and front and rear. No signatures or bookplates present. Pages are mildly toned due to age but book appears to have not been used very much as binding is tight. All edges gilt. An attractive copy.

Both corners are clipped on the front flap. DJ is toned and scuffed with numerous chips in small tears along the edges. Pale green cloth boards underneath show only minor spotting and edge wear. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight. The front pastedown contains an unused bookplate with no name on it. No signatures or handwriting found, no library markings, no remainder marks. Pages are mildly toned due to age and the front and rear end pages and pastedowns show toning and foxing. Pages are tight like book got very little use.

Exterior shows minor spotting and soiling along with light edge and corner bumps/wear. The internal binding is good and text pages are secure. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no handwriting found. Pages are mildly toned due to age very faint scattered foxing and spotting on a few pages.

Hardcover, tan cloth boards decorated in red and black. Exterior shows spotting and soiling and spine is sunned. Edges and corner show bumps/wear and top edge is darkened. Internal binding is overall good though the front and rear hinges are starting to crack. Pages are toned due to age and there is some minor scattered foxing present. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no handwriting found. Illustrated throughout with some color plates being tipped in. All color plates have been verified as being present and attached. Illustrated throughout color and black-and-white images as well as several dozen pages of advertisements relating to the poultry field and farming.

Tall softcover, wraps are clean and have only have minor corner and edge bumps. Spine has a few wrinkles to the paper. The internal binding is good and text pages are tight. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings, nothing torn or loose. The front page has a bit of damage/thinning where a price was written in pencil and then later erased. Staples do show some rusting.

Toronto: D. Van Nostrand Company, Inc., 1949. Hardcover. VG+/Fair. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with dust jacket. DJ shows heavy wear along with multiple tears and chips along edges. Underside of dust jacket was reinforced with masking tape on nearly all sides, over the decades the tape has reacted with the paper to where the glue has bled through to the front. Original price of $6.95 still present on the front flap. Despite the rough condition of the DJ it has done a very good job in protecting the book. Green cloth boards are still clean and bright and show only minor corner bumps. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. Pages are mildly toned due to age but are clean, no signatures or bookplates present. Illustrated with black-and-white and color photographs. Nine US sales may require additional postage, depending on location, because of the weight of this book.

DJ shows quite a bit of chipping and tearing with several large sections missing. Dust jacket is fragile so it has been placed in a protective sleeve. Blue cloth exterior boards are bright but bottom edge is discolored. No signatures or bookplates present. Pages are toned due to age but binding is good.

Exterior shows scuffing and soiling, spine is darkened, edges and corners show bumps/wear. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues except some pulling at the front board. Front pastedown contains the previous owner's name written in pencil. There is also two small spots of glue, presumably from the original binding process. The spots stuck to the front end page, causing damage to the finish. Pages are toned due to age and there is some light spotting present. No other handwriting found in the book, no bookplates, no library markings etc.
