New York: Chelsea House Publishers, 1970. Hardcover. VG-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, red cloth boards shows spotting on the back and a large spot on the front, spine mildly faded. Edges and corners show very light bumps/wear internal binding is good and text pages are tight. This is a 1970 reprint of the famous novelty company catalogs, selling all kinds of magical stuff (that never really worked). The binding is good but the front end page has the lower corner cut out. The only evidence of handwriting found in the book is on the same page, upper corner, where you can just barely see where an old price was once penciled and then later erased. No other markings found, no bookplates, no library markings, no remainder marks.

Convention handout covering the nominees and presents Ed Clark and Bill Hunscher and held at the Los Angeles Bonaventure Hotel. Workshops listed include: Fighting the draft, Association of Libertarian Feminists, Gun Control: A Threat to Civil Liberties, Tax Revolt, and more. Noted speakers include Ron Paul, Roy Childs, Gene McCarthy, Thomas Moore, Paul Gann, etc. Foldover periodical with stapled spine. Corners show bumps and folds.

Exterior shows minor spotting and soiling along with light edge and corner bumps/wear. The internal binding is good and text pages are secure. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no handwriting found. Pages are mildly toned due to age very faint scattered foxing and spotting on a few pages.

Paris: unknown, 1927. 13th Edition . Hardcover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, blue cloth boards with gilt on all three sides. Exterior shows scuffing and soiling, spine is darkened, edges and corners show bumps/wear. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues except some pulling at the front board. Front pastedown contains the previous owner's name written in pencil. There is also two small spots of glue, presumably from the original binding process. The spots stuck to the front end page, causing damage to the finish. Pages are toned due to age and there is some light spotting present. No other handwriting found in the book, no bookplates, no library markings etc.

Framingham Centre, MA: Published By The Author, 1938. 4th Edition . Hardcover. Good-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, no dust jacket. Purple cloth boards with gilt design on front and spine. Exterior is worn and edges are bumped, spine is sunned with the cloth showing tears along the edges. Interior binding is good, no hinge cracks, no torn or loose pages. Pages are lightly toned and foxing is present with the heaviest being on the end pages. Front pastedown has a bookplate and end page shows a name and " Old IronPot Antiques" written in purple pencil. Second end page shows another name and address. No other handwriting found in the book - even the collector notes pages in the rear are blank. Stated fourth edition on the copyright page.

Hardcover, dark brown pebbled cloth boards half bound with leather to corners and spine. Exterior shows scuffing and soiling in leather is dry and powdery. Leather also shows wear to edges and high points and there is some splitting starting at the top of the hinges. Edges and corners also show bumps/wear. The internal binding is good except for some minor opening starting at the boards. Text pages are secure and tight. Marbled end pages in front and rear. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no handwriting found. There is a small white spot on the front pastedown which may have been caused by a label at one point. Tall book - but black cloth boards with red text and design on both sides and spine. Spine starting to split inside front cover, should be easily reparable. Interior clean, this must have been an office copy. Previous bookseller's price was written on first page but has been erased. Exterior boards show bumping with the spine area softened. See photos.

Blue card boards with white design on front. Front and rear exterior wraps has a crease that runs through center from top to bottom. Lower outside corner is bumped. Original owner's name on the first end page. No other handwriting noted. No hinge cracks no torn or loose pages. This is the original publication, not a reprint.

Front cover and first page is missing the upper right edge. Undated publication from the infamous Johnson Smith and Company, who is known for selling everything from rubber chickens to whoopie cushions to x-ray specs. In 1931 they produced a book (catalog) entitled The Book of Forbidden Knowledge - which promised magical things, all for the price of your allowance. One of the items advertised was this book: "The Book of Great Secrets: Valuable Money Making Recipes", which contains everything from recipes for drinks to cures for whooping cough to a new method of embalming. No publication date listed but Johnson Smith and Company moved to Detroit in 1930 and this address is listed on the back cover. Pages are quite tone due to age and poor quality of paper used. Philadelphia, PA: The Library Publishing Company, 1903. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcovers, two volume set covering the entire year of 1903. Both books have grayish brown boards quarter pound in red cloth to spine. The condition of the books would normally grade VG or better but there are some dampstains present with the worst being the exteriors of both volumes (volume 2 was the worst). The interior binding of both books is similar: neither volume has hinge issues in text pages are secure. Both volumes are free of any handwriting of bookplates, no library markings, no signatures. Volume 1 does show very light dampstain marks along the bottom edge, outside corner area, which does not affect the pages in any way as far as readability. Previous owners info is written on the backside of the frontispiece stating the owner was a regimented Sergeant Major in the 1st Scots Guards. This is a bound edition of the magazine from January to December, 1889.

Thick softcover, fully illustrated front and rear exterior shows full page 1940s advertisement for The Pep Boys and Cornell tires. Binding is tight, no cracking of spine inside or out. The heavy card stock advertisement for the magazine is still present. Remaining pages are yellowed due to age and for quality of paper. Nothing torn, nothing loose, no signatures or bookplates, no handwriting found. An attractive copy that only shows minor edge wear and toning. The almanac has been placed in a protective storage bag.
