This is a first edition thus copy of this abridged volume, which was published in 1837 by Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge. Contains half a dozen or so inline illustrations. Very scarce indeed - offered at a fraction of the price of the only other copy online.
The book is in Good condition overall. Hardboards with remnants of marbled patterning and leatherette spine. Heavy scuffing across boards, and bumped board corners. Cracked front hinge, evident externally. Ink stains and tanning to endpapers. Occasional annotations in pencil, mostly to the later portion.Tanning and discolouration to pages, with some dog-earing. Indent to front board, evident only on close inspection. 18cm x 11cm. 215 pages.
