Lacking half-titles. Scattered light foxing, mainly to prelims and endpapers; no annotation or inscriptions. From the library of Ballyarnett House, Derry, a late nineteenth century Arts & Crafts country house, with the address in gilt at tail of spine. Novel set in the Highlands by Edmund Hodgson Yates (1831-1894), British journalist, novelist and dramatist, best-known today for his work as editor of society newspaper The World.
