These tricks by Agnew are the same exact tricks by The Great Zam which were issued in another premium booklet by Sinclair Oil. So, which is it, Sinclair? Zam or Agnew?

No place: No publisher, no date [1953]. First Edition. Small printed envelope which contains a one page sheet of instructions (on one side only) plus a manilla envelope and 4 smaller white envelopes. Inside the manilla envelope is a fake coin (removed from its plastic wrap, though wrap still present) with one side being a 1952 Washington quarter, the other side is a Chinese coin with a square in the middle. The 2 effects listed on the sheet require a regular quarter and a Chinese coin. It is unclear if the real Chinese coin was supposed to be included here or provided from another source. The only coin here is the fake coin with two sides. The fake coin shows some wear from use. The envelopes and instruction sheet are in very nice condition. The outer envelope has light edge wear. Contributors include Kenneth and Steffi Grant, Clifford Bax, Hannen Swaffer, Philip Paul, John Smith, Haydn Mackay, Ralph Straus and Grace Rogers.

Sabara mantras are those mantras written in regional languages and which require minimal ritual procedures in order to achieve desires and also to work magic. They were designed for people who were mostly illiterate. There are mantras here for a variety of different deities, both gods and goddesses, and many that can be used for healing, cursing (even killing), preventing witchcraft or black magic, and practically everything else. Precise instructions are given for each mantra and their various uses. At the end of the second volume is a Tantric Herbal glossary with some very useful information.

The Fechner collection was auctioned in three parts at Swann Galleries in New York, each a year apart (2005-2007) and each with its own illustrated catalogue. Fechner, a major French film producer for over 30 years, had built a collection widely considered to be one of the most important in the world in terms of its range and quality. A collection of helpful hints and recipes for all sorts of things one would encounter back in the day, plus some charms, tricks, and info on hypnotism and ventriloquism. The ads which take up the second half of the book are quite fascinating. Besides tricks and gags, one could also order movie projectors, radios, and much more, including guns!
