Description:
Beautiful small folio book covering the International Panama-Pacific Exposition aka World's Fair which took place in San Francisco in the early 20th Century. A must-have for San Francisco history buffs!
San Francisco's Jewel City: The Panama-Pacific International Exposition of 1915 by Laura A. Ackley Hardcover First Edition - Second Printing Heyday and California Historical Society 2015. Beautiful book with numerous photographs and illustrations, some of them originally black and white photos colored. SIGNED and Dated 9/28/2015 on the Title Page with Inscription "Enjoy the Fair!". Fine as NEW without Dust Jacket as issued. 382 Pages. The Panama–Pacific International Exposition (PPIE) was a world's fair held in San Francisco, in the United States, between February 20 and December 4 in 1915. Its ostensible purpose was to celebrate the completion of the Panama Canal, but it was widely seen in the city as an opportunity to showcase its recovery from the 1906 earthquake. Description:
The Witch Tree Symbol Nancy Drew Mystery Stories #33 by Carolyn Keene (but actually written by Harriet Stratemeyer Adams) Hardcover First Edition - First Printing Grosset & Dunlap 1955. The list of Nancy Drew titles ends with this title and the back of the dust jacket is an add for Dana Girls Mystery Stories indicating this is a true first printing copy. Fine in Fine-/Near Fine++ Dust Jacket. A fine book with just the tiniest hint of age-toning, minimal, in just about as nice a dust jacket as you're likely to find. NO tearing to any of the dust jacket at all. Even the back of the dust jacket is quite bright and clean (often the backs of these jackets are darkened). Only some rubbing on the upper-right front corner, and some edge-wear mostly to the upper and lower spine and the top edge. Else this is a near-perfect copy! A stunning example price to sell.NOTE on Nancy Drew First Editions/First Printings: The Nancy Drew and Hardy Boy books are rather notorious for having issues concerning what is a first… Read More

Description:
The Clue in the Crumbling Wall Nancy Drew Mystery Stories No. 22 by Carolyn Keene (collective pseudonym; actually by Harriet Stratemeyer Adams) Hardcover First Edition - Second State Dust Jacket New York: Grosset & Dunlap 1945. Identified as a first edition - second state because the last Nancy Drew title listed on the front flap of the dust jacket is "The Secret in the Old Attic" with no mention of the present title. However, the ads at the back are Beverly Gray. The first state should be Judy Bolton. Also, a war-time edition which furthers the case this book is a first printing. Extremely difficult to find with the first state jacket listing the books without mention of the present title. Also with Nancy Drew with a spy glass in silhouette in red on the front board and similar illustration on the front endpapers with other women.
Near Fine+ in Very Good Dust Jacket. The book itself is quite clean and solid. Main condition issues are toning to the pages (typical of the war-time editions because of… Read More

Book of Native American/Indian Fairy Tales. Worldcat/OCLC lists only 25 copies in all libraries worldwide. (I could find no auction records)
Indian Fairy Tales by Lewis Allen Hardcover First Edition - First Printing Boston: John W. Luce & Company, 1912. Copyright shown as 1912 by L.E. Bassett with No indication of later printings on the copyright page indicating a first printing. A compilation of Native American/Indian stories, fairy tales and fables. (probably issued with a dust jacket, long since separated from the book)
Book itself is just about fine with no flaws, only natural aging. The pages are very crisp and clean, somewhat higher-quality paper than typical of the period.
ALSO: The pictures are of the actual item for sale. (The pictures are NOT stock photos.)
IMPORTANT NOTE: All sales are generally FINAL. I do NOT accept returns because of buyer's remorse, "it was a gift but the recipient already had it", or "I found the same book(s) at a better price". I am not selling new items to compete… Read More

Three Hearts and Three Lions by Poul Anderson Hardcover First Edition - First Printing Doubleday 1961. States "First Edition" on copyright page and $2.95 cover price on front dust jacket flap. Dust Jacket art by Edward Gorey. (NOTE: this is NOT a book club copy)
Fine in Fine- Dust Jacket, NOT price-clipped. Just about as nice a copy as you'll find of Anderson's best fantasy novel. Book itself is near perfect with straight corners, clean boards and clean pages, just a couple of tiny pin-sized dirt marks on the back boards, almost imperceptible. Dust Jacket has NO tears, just very slight edge-wear and some slight soiling to the back which is very common with Doubleday editions from circa 1960 to 1980. Overall a beautiful copy of an uncommon book, especially in this condition. LW. Currey has about four copies currently, none appear to be as good as this one based on his descriptions. NOTE: This is NOT a BCE edition.

Interview with the Vampire the First Vampire Chronicles Volume, and the first novel by Anne Rice Hardcover First UK Edition - First Printing London: Macdonald Raven UK 1976 £3.95 (published in the US by Knopf in the same year) Features wonderfully spooky dust jacket artwork with Lestat holding a candelabra, still the best jacket artwork of any edition in my opinion, probably the best jacket artwork of the entire series!
Nearly Fine in Fine Dust Jacket, a beautiful near-perfect copy save some foxing to the top edge of the text-block and typical toning. Boards are very clean and sharp, corners straight. The jacket is near-perfect save a hint of a crinkle to the upper left-hand corner of the back. If you can forgive the foxing, it's still a wonderful copy.

Fine in Fine- Dust Jacket. Book itself is a fine nearly perfect example in an almost-perfect jacket with one tiny repaired slit at one corner, almost imperceptible. Priced to sell.

Fine in Fine- Dust Jacket, a beautiful near-perfect copy which appears unread. The book itself is fine, and near-perfect. (A little bit of the typical jaggedness to the text-block which Knopf have been notorious for until circa 2000. NO tears and NO chips to the jacket, save the typical crinkling here and there, most prevalent to the top and bottom spine and a little bit at the lower front corner, which is very common with this book because of the foil like material used, and was placed slightly off-center on the book, else a wonderful copy overall.
