The Leftover set. Not the best of the titles I have for sale, but too nice not to list them. #1. The Big Sky, 1947 stated First Printing, the book has tape residue on the inside covers, the outside covers, moderate wear, bumps, and soiling and missing 2 blank pages rear. The book is gap filler all the way, but if putting the 6 volume Big Sky Series you have to have this title. DJ, I have no idea where it came from, and it's smaller than the book and is Rough, with too many defects to list, and its ex-lib also. #2 ARFIVE, 3rd Printing 1970 VG. This book is collectible for any printing and with its original DJ, tight, clean, and square, bruised spine ends. DJ: Spine lightly sunned, minor shelf wear, soiled(could be cleaned up) in mylar, price intact. #3 THE WAY WEST, no DJ, stated First Printing with the Blue-ish Green(true 1st Ed) cloth spine with the silver lettering, lightly rubbed spine ends, and very tip of the corners. COFFEE TABLE SIZE, still sealed is the only way I give a book condition as FINE. The Dustjacket I can see scratches under the plastic. The book has 4 people involved AB Guthrie,Jr. did the Essay and Quotations, Photographs by Marc Gaede, Tribute by Edward Abbey, & Foreword by Charles Bowden. This is all I know about this book, and it is included with an AB Guthrie,jr Collection. It is here for more photos.

No defects and I believe I was the only one to open it for photos. This will be going to the big collection and the other softcover.

Ex-library, with the usual markings and 1st leaf missing. Gap Filler only.

Ture 1st witht e green cloth spine, please see photos for the details. Very small damage to the DJ the book has rubbed(lighter color) spots on the green spine ends.

brown cloth with a yellow square and black lettering. creased spine, light bruising to spine ends and a touch of shelf wear, ink previous owners name 1st leaf. Nice copy.

ALL DEFECTS ARE IN THE PHOTOS(12). This is a true 1st printing with the greenish cloth spine and gray boards(Book Club is bluish(aqua) spine), Minor wear or rubbing to the extreme edges. Book is unread tightness, very clean except for cheap glue used on the endpages bleeding thru. The DJ $3.50 PRESENT, has minor soiling, 1 tear front top and was folded down with a wrinkle remaining, minor chips to spine ends. All in the photos. I have several copies ranging from $35 to $350(signed) to fit your budget.

CLOTH SPINE, GREY HARD CLOTH BOARDS. VERY TIGHT AND SQUARE AND CLEAN. Rubbing to the edges, light shelfwear. Minor bumps to corners, light water stain to rear pastedowns bottom(nothing harsh). The DJ has rubbing, chipping, price intact. But it has water stains rear cover, and soiling. But it does have one to help ID as not BCE. It is 1st issue, not indent making it true 1st printing. Excellent gap-filler.

Stated first printing, with greenish spine cloth making it not a Book Club Edition. Nice gap filler and cheap but looks nice, no dustjacket. 1st leaf removed(?)

with the cardboard covers and spine, it feels hard to me(?). I guess they had to redo the name from the hardback to squeeze a few more pennies out. I know some of you collect these and this just might be one. Bud had already won a Pulitzer before this issue in Oct 1951 and it escaped many collectors of his work. But someone listed one of the hardcopies and paperback for $139 and this title came out of everywhere and every price. This one goes with the big collection I have, the price is to keep it around to see.

THEY appear to be black thin hard cloth with gold lettering and decoration. Edgar did not get critical acclaim but he got loud acclaim from the radio listeners. What began on a small local radio station to fill some time with a couple of poems, propel Edgar to a national audience. These books only have credit to him and only him. And looking thru these he was a poet of different styles, and subjects. A few poems here and there have pencil underlinings, the paper is the thin, bonded type. And each copy has an index in the rear. Mostly over 175 pages and the index extra pages. I bought these for my Great Grandkids aged 6,4,2 and 1. In hopes, one or more will expand their minds and maybe write songs that will enrich their pockets. I have plenty of books so if these sell maybe the money will do them better

Both the hardcover and paperback release at the same time, this one is the stated 1st paperback, henry holt Owl Books, a book of essays. This author was a character as a writer in real life. I bought it to personally read when I get around to it, which will probably never.
