Professionally rebound in quarter green cloth,with hand-made marble paper (grey pebble shapes on a background of green and red/brown, with thin white interstitial threads), titled in gold on the spine, b/w frontis photograph, " AJemez Dancer in Costume ", 15 b/w photographs, 270pp. The author went to a little towm in New Mexico in 1870, where his companion was murdered. He took refuge in the Indian Pueblo de Jemez. He visited again in 1903 and writes about Indian life there, including the Hopi Snake-Dancers. Condition of the binding is "new", condition of the text is g to vg with slight foxing on the first two sheets.
