Sacker studied under well-known architect, designer, and instructor Charles Howard Walker as well as Joseph DeCamp and Joseph Lindon Smith. In 1892 she won a scholarship to the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston for her exemplary work. Upon graduation, Sacker began teaching decorative design at the Cowles Art School.
