This copy with chips at spine extremities, tips somewhat rounded, foxing and offsetting to the title page glassine divider and frontis, otherwise largely unread.

American Sports Publishing Co. Bound in dark blue cloth with white lettering, containing the new rules for 1913, 300 pp. plus ads. There is a split at the front hinge approximately 3/4 of its length and a 1/2 by 3/4" chip to the lower right corner, and a spot on the bottom margin. Otherwise this is an attractive clean tight copy

Baltimore, 1814 Nice clean book of 191 pages with pages evenly browned. Book has been rebound in modern blue cloth with gilt spine lettering.

Chapel Hill: University of North Carolina Press, 1970 Original book, not a reprint. I would grade the book as fine but for a corner crease on one page. Dust jacket has a nick on back.

Duell, Sloane & Pearce, 1964 Bound in green cloth over off white boards, 126 pp., stated first edition. Quite attractive copy,

Boston: Ticknor & Fields, 1861 Bound in blind stamped brick colored cloth with elaborate gilt spine titles and decorations depicting scenes from the story, 361 pp. Spine is very slightly faded and has chips at extremities, last endpaper with a crease, book largely unread.

Simon & Schuster, 1954 Fine unread copy of this Little Golden Book, "A" printing. Just a trace of wear at the corners prevent this copy from being 'like new'.

Philadelphia: Lippencott, 1856 One of Lippencott's Cabinet Histories of the States , this is bound in suede and is ex-lib with "Indiana Township Library" stamped on front cover and bookplate. There is a circular 1/4" hole on title page margin, cover shows some edge wear, a chip at the head of spine and is starting to wear through at the corners. All in all a nice clean tight copy.

New York: Paul B. Hoeber, 1917 Early edition reprinted August, 1917 with "Med. Dept. U.S. Army" on front board. Cover has light soil, slight spine fade, else very good.

lippincott, 1878 Bound in brick red cloth, 383 pp., signed on front end papeer, "With regard of the author/Henry Carrington/Col U. S. A./Jan 16, 1879. There are touches of wear at the tips and spine extremities and s 1/2" scuff mark on front board and the first map has a 1" closed tear. A largely unread copy.

Philadelphia: Lippincott, 1878 Bound in dark green beveled boards with gilt Indian, black and gold borders on front cover, gilt and black spine decorations, 383 pp. 2 fold out maps. drawn from Mrs Carrington's journals with help from her husband, a colonel in the 18th infantry. This handsome copy with lightly rubbed covers, name on title page, missing a large part of the first map, small clear tape repair [now browned] on verso of title page. Tissue guard between frontis and tp present. Otherwise an attractive, sharp copy. Howes C175

Harper, 1902 First edition illustrated by Newell, bound in imitation vellum. Heavy stock jacket is lined in moire cloth. Olive green jacket is turning brown and is brittle.Front decoration of Alice carrying a cake replicates cover design. Jacket is separated at the back fold and is missing approximately 1/3rd of the spine and is reinforced internally at the front joint.Near fine book in fair jacket.

New York: Macmillan, 1902 With nine illustrations by Henry Holiday. Book is bound in red cloth, has spine fade and traces of wear to the extremities.Internally very bright and clean.

London : Macmillan, 1876 Bound in red cloth with gilt borders, decorations and titles, aeg, 83 pp plus 1 pp ads, eighteenth thousand. Early printing published the same year as the first edition. This copy with some spotting , a nick at front gutter and wear to fore edge to the front cover. Tissue guard is present between the title page and frontis and causing some offsetting. Otherwise a clean, tight sharp very good copy.

University of California Press, 1983 This the Pennyroyal Edition as designed by Barry Moser. There is a small scuff spot on the front of the jacket.

Williams & Wilkins, 1931 Bound in bright navy blue cloth wiht bright gilt spine titles, 308 pp plus 3 pp ads in jacket. Jacket with a quite small chip at the tail of spine and at bottom of the fold, a nick at the top front, spine and top of front slightly darkened, and a spot on the spine which affects neither the inside of the jacket nor the book's binding. Ownership name on front endpaper.

Macmillan, 1904 "Bound in green ribbed cloth with gilt spine titles, 290 pp. plus 2 pp ads. Author was a professor of political economy at Harvard. Apparently a rare book with no copies of this currently available and Worldcat listing but one copy. I did find one copy in a dealer catalog from 2016. This a nice copy with a trace of rubbing, a touch of shelf wear, a tiny number in pencil on the front endpaper, and the last several leaves with a slight corner bump.Possibly read once.
