These have been examined chemically and microscopically and this report contains results, including amounts of water, ash, protein, fiber, nitrogen-free extract and fat. Includes cotton seed meal, linseed meal, wheat products, bran from winter wheat, and spring wheat; middlings from winter wheat. Ground corn cobs are a material of greatly inferior feeding value. Also Maize meal,corn flour, gluten meals, gluten feed, germ meal, hominy meal, hominy chop, rye feed, malt sprouts, dried distillery grains. Dried distillery grains contain three times as much protein as cereal grains. There is no data on excessive inebriation of cattle after eating distillery grains. "Cant and Vulgar Words"" discusses the modern tendency toward degradation of language, using such vulgar words as ""snobbishness"", ""flunkeyism"". Cant comes from Scottish minister Andrew Cant who spoke in such a dialect that only his congregation could understand him. Gypsies and Hindoos use cant, to say words like ""bamboozle"", ""bosh"" (rubbish), ""cheese"" (thing), ""mang"" (to beg), ""tschib"" (tongue). ""The Abuse of Geography"" complains that much time is wasted in this study, memorizing names of cities and towns. ""The rebel states are mainly within the tropics."" Article discusses how teachers can interest small scholars in spelling. ""A Cure for Bill-ious Attacks"" uses humor to remind forgetful subscribers of Massachusetts Teacher to pay their subscription bills.
