Dustjacket I am listing this book without one, but it has one that is bad with large pieces missing. But I do have a slipcase from First Edition Library. Book: has two bottom corners bumped slightly, minor shelf wear, top of the spine has a little wear, and unevenness due to a manufacturing error which also cause a small wrinkle, light stains(small), orange cloth with gold boxes with title and publisher name, no cracking, very tight and square. A nice copy. The "A" is present as well as the seal, this is the 1st issue.. Signed by Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good-Very Good book/VG+ slipcase/poor dustjacket. Included is a signed copy of God's Little Acre by Franklin Library. And a BCE of Tobacco Road so it can be read instead of the valuable one.

Unread tightness, very square, mostly clean. DJ has some chipping, edgewear, and foxing. Only copy listed with DJ and its a Harcourt 1921.

NOT BOOK CLUB is a former library, MAIN VALUE IS DJ. Contents pg to pg 46 light top rippling, pocket removed inside cover, tight signatures holding pages, last leaf mainly removed, inside rear DJ paper residue. Corner metal protectors, minor wear spine ends, still Good plus and better. THE BEST PART IS THE DJ WITH NO LIBRARY REMNANTS, 2ND PRINTING IS THE SAME AS 1ST PRINTING AND THIS ONE IS vg+ or better. Most people believe the rear spine of the DJ is faded, this DJ proves it was made that way, no fade, no rubbing, wear and a tear about an inch top inside flap corner, price intact bottom corner front flap. The rear flap has wear top inside, and the bottom has wear and 1/4 inch tear. Only library marking is the top edge stamped. A decent copy for a collection or nice DJ for book without one. Ex-Lib but read on, Paper from the inside flaps of the Brodart, not the DJ, 2436 stamp 1st leaf and paper residue from ID plate, no markings usually with these books. The rear has paper removed inside the pastedown and paper-like front flap from Brodart, not DJ. there is sun fading to the edges and bruising to spine ends and wear bottom, stamp LIBRARY COPY on bottom page ends and an 8-7 top edge. DJ has minor rubbing only because it was protected in Brodart.

Book has all the markings, glue on covers and inside covers as well from tape many years, Again DJ has the VALUE. That has glue residue from tape, minor shelf wear and a torn corner inside flap rear bottom, and white tab bottom outside spine under the mylar I installed and might remover paper of DJ ? price removed and another tear inside top flap corner. photos available

With all library markings, pocket, glue stains, etc. 2 different libraries, maybe checked out 3 or 4 times, still very tight 2nd printing stated. Corner protectors, stamp top edge, and an O bottom spine. IT IS THE DUSTJACKET THAT HAS VALUE, 1ST, AND 2ND ARE THE SAME IMAGE. tHIS ONE WAS LAMINATED AT WHAT SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN AT THE BEGINNING AND HAS HELD TOGETHER NICELY EXCEPT THE LIBRARY NUMBER TAG i BELIEVE IS UNDER THE LAMINATE, 1 LEVEL DOWN AND MIGHT BE DIRECTLY ON THE dj(I'not messing with that). And the price was removed, could be wiped down to clean some, otherwise a very bright copy. Photos available of the book

Red leather with gilt page ends. That is all I can say because it is still sealed. It does state on the spine that it is a signed edition, I have an unsealed one and it is the same and it is signed. I add a baggie to ensure moisture/dust stays out. And you have a choice of light protection please let me know which one or none from the photos. The Silver one has chrome corners, handle with an aluminum frame. The sides are heavy cardboard colored as metal, it is really nice looking. The others are computer sleeves in Black, Pink, or Bluish Teal. They all offer protection from color fading due to light, to retain it to look as you see now.

New York: Knoft, 1922. 2nd printing(stated) or 1st trade edition after a numbered signed edition. Light wear and tear to the spine ends, light shelf-wear to the corners, still very tight copy no cracking.. Second Printing. Hard Cover. Good-Very Good/No Jacket.

The 2nd printing is the First Trade Edition after a signed limited printing. Greenish brown cloth with orange(title, stands out) and black lettering(fading on spine because of soiling). Soiled spine, wear to the spine ends, not to bad top more on bottom(there are small tears beginning to show) and minor tip wear. Previous owners name(and street # and name) in ink 1st leaf. A touch of foxing to the first/last pages and pastedowns. The bind is still holding tight, a nice copy to fill the gap till you can afford the $2000-5000 signed limited. Many photos of this book being offered at $250.

USUAL GREEN WITH GOLD LETTERING AND DESIGNS. The signature is darker and very readable(unusual). Touch of rubbing and lighter edges on the inside silk pastedowns. Minor scratches on gold edges, but signature makes this worth it and more.
