Slipcase is lightly worn, lightly sunned at the the edges and with several tiny stains. An elegant signed memoir by the former British king, who stepped down less than a year into his reign to marry already twice-divorced commoner and archetypal "dreadful American" Wallis Simpson.

An autobiography by the founder of the Snow Hill Normal School and Industrial Institute in Snow Hill, Alabama, which grew from a single log cabin to a campus of 27 buildings and over 400 students.

Eigner had a severe palsy that made writing by hand difficult; typing wasn't much easier, he used only his right index finger and thumb to do so. A nice association. First edition, one of unnumbered 400 copies in the trade issue in wraps printed on rag paper. 38, [2] pp. Wraps. Fine. Eigner is associated with the Black Mountain and Language schools of poetry. A number of his books were published by Black Sparrow.
