Publisher's stapled illustrated wrappers, 12mo, pp. 19. Reprint of the 1928 instruction booklet for the E. Leitz, Inc. camera. Leitz was then located at 60 East 10th Street in NYC. Light foxing at bottom edge of rear wrapper, otherwise unmarked and especially clean and bright. Ensconced now in a clear protective display sleeve with white cardstock backing board.

Quarto, pp. 98. Illustrations by the author. Just a hint of wear, as with age & careful handling. Publisher's illustrated white wrappers.

Edition limited to 500 signed copies, of which this is number 64, quarto, pp. [12]. Very good in the publisher's sewn printed gray wraps. Signed by the author at the colophon.

Hardcover, octavo, pp. 61 plus colophon. All edges gilt. Do our eyes deceive us or is that a pin-head sized trace of an ember at the top edge of pages 1-14, as though, quaintly (and we would venture even to say romantically), this copy was once read next to a crackling fire? If so, an already appealing volume becomes all the more so. Nicely presented in the publisher's blue cloth over boards with spine and upper board lettering gilt. Author was the son of Thomas Alva Edison. There is no dust jacket.

First edition, octavo, pp. ix, 201 plus colophon. Very good in the publisher's illustrated glossy wraps.

Second printing, publisher's black cloth with spine lettering gilt, pp. xviii, 196. Black and white illustrations. An appealing modern abridgement of the original work, which was published in 1789. Light shelf wear. Dust jacket is price-clipped, otherwise Very Good.

Publisher's side-stapled wrappers, octavo, pp. 48. Illustrations. Light shelf wear at crown of spine. A few nicks and short tears on wrapper edges. GOOD and sound but with a somewhat rumpled appearance from previous consultation. Protected now in a clear new Ultra-Pro display sleeve.

Reprinted in facsimile from the Philadelphia edition of 1906. First edition thus, octavo, pp. lxxix, 219 plus colophon. Bound in a dark shade of brown leather with an elaborate gilt decorative design within triple gilt ruling on both the front and rear panels. Spine hubbed into five gilt compartments. All page edges gilt. Permanent silk ribbon page marker. Marbled endpapers. Includes a 10-page descriptive booklet from the publisher. A fine copy.

Publisher's original orange cloth with black spine lettering, octavo, pp. 189. Black and white illustrations. INSCRIBED by the author to a previous owner on free front endpaper verso. Author SIGNED a second time, lower on the same page. On rear pastedown near gutter, same previous owner has written his name vertically in ink. Two paper items, held in place by tape long ago, have either been removed from the pastedowns or the tape dried completely and they dropped out, resulting in old brown tape shadows (no stickiness or residue). Brief underlining in passage pertaining to Ayers Rock on pp. 187 and 188. Dust jacket with a short tear at top edge of rear panel at spine, and a splash mark from coffee or tea on rear fold flap. Finally, the publisher manufactured the dust jacket a tad too short for the book. Jacket now protected in removable Brodart. Book and jacket about GOOD condition, withal.

Edition limited to 500 copies printed by Four Colour Imports, octavo, pp. 104. This number featuring checklist and plates, some color, from the Polly Knipp Hill exhibition: "Marking a Life Through Etching." Near Fine in the publisher's stiff illustrated card stock wrappers.

Tide fans won't be disappointed completely, however, as "Alabama's 'Bear' Makes His Mark" describes Alabama beating Auburn on November 28th, 1981. A fun book, with recaps going back as far as 1913. Dust jacket was not issued with this title.

Number 1 in the publisher's WYOMING series, in blue/gray cloth with an upper panel decoration stamped in red, black, and gold, octavo, pp. 371. A separate illustration on spine is faded and somewhat darkened. Attractive color-illustrated endpapers. Three black and white plates depicting scenes of wilderness action inserted (NOTE that a New York Public Library digital copy of this book examined by us at the HathiTrust website features a fourth illustration used as frontispiece that this copy does not have.) Faint previous owner signature near top edge of front pastedown. This copy graded FAIR-only, with nicks at spine ends and rubbing to board tips. The paper has become brittle over the many decades, and there are a couple of short tears, no loss or text affected (at fore-edge of pp. 42/43, for example). A substantial tear near gutter of pp. 107/108 from top-edge downward about 30 % of the leaf (see image for our best attempt at a close-up). Again, no loss of paper or text.

Edition limited to 200 copies in handset Baskerville and Bulmer types, octavo, unpaginated. Blocks by Barbara McFadyen. Attractively done up and very good in the publisher's stiff, dark-orange, string-tied wrappers.

Publisher's tan wrappers with black title lettering and a portrait of the author within elaborate decorative black border, octavo, pp. 114. Additional use of the cover portrait as a frontis. Alas, a reading or working copy only, with considerable wear, short tears at crown and foot of spine; nicks; smudge on page 6. Withal, sound and still serviceable. An uncommon title now protected against further wear in a clear Ultra-Pro display sleeve. Author (1868-1942) wrote a Tang of the South column for The Lexington Herald. This copy complete with the Sylvia Contest rules and perforated tear-out entry blank (the coupon has been filled in lightly with pencil by previous owner) and 12 accompanying portraits of Sylvia by 12 separate illustrators, including Howard Chandler Christy and Alice Barber Stephens. Book in GOOD condition with with board tips bumped and rubbed.
