The copy appears to be the second catalogue of books for sale offered by this Milanese bookseller, Branca e Dupuy. A copy listed in NUC of a 1833 edition is located at Columbia and the Newberry Library. The first 154 pages of this catalogue is a manual for booksellers and contains a series of essays on the origins of printing, the first presses in Italy, the art of printing in the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries. Equally as important are Branca's essays on bibliography, a bookselling and publishing.
