My copy is NOT FROM A LIBRARY. It is a privately-held, clean as a whistle, no writing, ultra-smooth page edges copy with a (steel?) frontis plate drawn by Henderson
It is still in as near pristine condition for age as it was way back in 1935 when I was given it for winning a place at Grammar School. It was second-hand then as there was and still is an ownership label in Victorian script (Lavens Mathewson) inside… Read More

And many other illustrations. Lt de Wind V.C., for example. Vol II has a frontispiece protected by a tissue in perfect condition. The books look and feel new and never opened, never read but because of the provenance, I cannot list as new or as new. Tables of who served in what units, tables of…

Description:
Book is in Dutch. The translation of the title is The sacrificial hall of the Lode Boninge and Frans Van der Linden It was printed June 1934. Three thousand copies were printed . The author was a stretcher-bearer in the Dutch forces in WW1 and wrote this account of his war under the pseudonym een Frontmakker Front BuddyIt is condidered to be rare and I offer my copy well below market price because I have little access to a market for Dutch books and my Dutch has withered over the years.
