It has no date BUT was printed by Woodfall and Kinder of London. Prelims ii-xv1 are Life and Works of Henry Fielding." Prelims xvii to xx1v are contents Then 614 text pages and one leaf/2 pages of adverts. After listing some books, The adverts include: "To be followed by" and lists Pottleton Legacy-which was first published in 1854 and Ovingdean Grange which was first published 1860. In fact all the books listed are of the 1850s. That suggests this copy is from before 1854.

Remarkable survivors: these two volumes in about AS NEW CONDITION. They are in this exceptional state because they were rebound by a library in hard red library binding with brilliant white titling etc on spine. The binding has inluded brilliant white end pages plus the pasted in "lending record' which shows the books were never borrowd, then the title page with small library stamp and manuscript call number and the same repeated on the dedication page. Book one has a fold out map of the western front that is in perfect mint condition and page after page of the unit badges of British units in which staff served,, Canadian Corps badges and even badges of US units in which staff served. And many other illustrations. Lt de Wind V.C., for example. Vol II has a frontispiece protected by a tissue in perfect condition. Book is in Dutch. The translation of the title is The sacrificial hall of the Lode Boninge and Frans Van der Linden It was printed June 1934. Three thousand copies were printed . The author was a stretcher-bearer in the Dutch forces in WW1 and wrote this account of his war under the pseudonym een Frontmakker Front Buddy
It is condidered to be rare and I offer my copy well below market price because I have little access to a market for Dutch books and my Dutch has withered over the years.
