General Amherst led an attack on Montreal in 1760 leading to its fall. A good description of game birds, big horn and Rocky Mountain sheep, bison, moose, deer, antelope, caribou, bears, wolves and foxes, wild turkey, wading birds and also three chapters on fishing salmon, bass and pickerel of North America. Gillmore was a Scottish traveller, hunter and prolific author. He also used the pseudonym "Ubique" (Latin of everywhere).
