Large format booklet The Story of Judy Garland inscribed on the cover "To Harold/with my deep admiration and lots of love thrown in/Judy" and additionally inscribed by Sid Luft who has dated the program December 2nd 1952. 12 x 9 inches (31 x 23 cm); with a portrait of Judy Garland to the cover, the booklet illustrated with photographs by Richard Avedon and others. Minor handling wear, an old glassine jacket is present, possibly original, which has small losses.An extraordinary program inscribed by Judy Garland to Harold Arlen, composer of "Over the Rainbow", the Wizard of Oz song that made her a legend. This program was issued shortly after Judy Garland's performances at the Palace Theater in New York in 1951 and was inscribed to Harold Arlen late in 1952. A fine association between Garland, who played Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz and Arlen, composer of the film's famous score and much of the American songbook.

Stamped by the photographer on verso. In very fine condition. Although not so recognized today, Fitz was an affiliate member of the Society of Photographic Illustrators and the Philadelphia Camera Club and a highly lauded advertising photographer in the 1920s and 1930s whose clients included many of the era's largest American businesses—from Chevrolet Motor Company and AT&T to Ivory Soap and Ipana Toothpaste. In very good condition, with tape reinforcement along hinge. 2 pp., 5.5 x 8.5 inches.

Original gatefold pressing of the classic jazz album credited with popularizing bossa nova around the world, signed to inside cover in bright blue felt tip by saxophonist Stan Getz, who has inscribed "To Fritz / Best Wishes" above a photograph with guitarist João Gilberto and pianist Antônio Carlos Jobim.  Verve Records V6-8545.  Light wear and toning to sleeve, else in fine condition.  Record has not been playtested but appears to be NM+. Signed copies are very uncommon!The marvelous album, Getz/Gilberto, had a profound influence upon the face of jazz and American popular music. The card is also signed on the verso by the president of the organization, and notes that Gigli is an honorary member. In a small red portfolio embossed in gold: "A Beniamino Gigli / Il Centro Sperimentale Lirico del Circolo Musicale Giovanile / Milano 1947." 4.75 x 3.25 inches (12.3 x 8.2 cm).In lyrical and romantic repertory, many regarded Gigli as the legitimate heir of Caruso. Used; Like New/Used; Like New. Three small original notebooks of typed and handwritten song lyrics, created and used in recital by the great Italian tenor. The small ring-bound notebooks contain lyrics in Italian, French, English and German to arias, lieder and art songs performed by Gigli, typewritten and arranged in order of performance. The lyrics to the English and German songs are rendered phonetically with Italian spellings, leading to such amusing spellings as "Sooftli gos mai songs entriti thru dhe nait tu dhi / In dhe sailent wuuds ai weit dhi / Com mai loof tu mi." ("Softly goes my song's entreaty through the night to thee / In the silent woods I wait thee / Come my love to me." A few handwritten corrections are made to the typed lyrics throughout; one song (Serenata Triste) written by hand in pencil. Photogravure, signed to the upper left, "Gloeden / Taormina / 6/8 '10" in black ink. Gloeden Taormina stamp on verso, in fine condition.  22.5×16.5 cm.The German photographer who worked mainly in Italy is mostly known for his pastoral nude studies of Sicilian boys, which usually featured props such as wreaths or amphoras suggesting a setting in the Greece or Italy of antiquity. From a modern standpoint, his work is commendable due to his controlled use of lighting as well as the often elegant poses of his models. Innovative use of photographic filters and special body makeup (a mixture of milk, olive oil, and glycerin) to disguise skin blemishes contribute to the artistic perfection of his works. Famous in his own day, his work was subsequently eclipsed for close to a century, only to re-emerge in recent times as "the most important gay visual artist of the pre–World War I era" according to Thomas Waugh.

The text is in French, with occasional English words and mispronunciations of French thrown in.Amédée de Beauplan (whose full name was Amédée Louis Joseph Rousseau de Beauplan) was the son of a military officer of the ancient régime who was executed by guillotine in 1794.
