Hogg had originally projected four volumes for the biography, but only two appeared; Lady Shelley and the poet's son, Percy Florence, put an end to the project before it was completed.

London: J.M Dent & Sons, 1929. Early edition of Hunt's collected essays, with the bookplate of "Desmond & Mary Leigh Hunt" on inner front board. Desmond Leigh Hunt was the great-great grandson of the essayist. Spine is sunned, else a good copy and a unique association item.

According to Brewer, "Copies with this binding are more rare than those in glazed boards." A very good copy of a scarce edition.
