Contents include articles on large scale refrigeration installations, various technical matters, regional association activities, trade conventions, etc. Text block very good, but three quarter brown morocco binding is split at the hinges and quite rubbed. Scarce in the trade.

Catalogue of kitchen tools and furniture shown at an exhibit at the Renwick Gallery and The Museum of Contemporary Crafts. Introduction and notes by Mimi Sheraton. This exhibition ran from Sept. 1972 to April 1973, and displayed common and unusual kitchen gadgets from the pre-history to the present time. Very light rubbing to printed cardstock wrappers, otherwise fine.

A short, but highly entertaining survey of the historical literature on the subject of sea-sickness, or motion sickness at sea, and of various therapies. "Sea-sickness as one of the earliest noted, most constant, and most palatable of human infirmities, has a literature which, if not particularly instructive to the practical student, is at least as ancient and comprehensive, and probably more closely associated with the humanities, than that of any similarly unimportant derangement." Efforts to lessen the effects of motion on the body include: Tellier's Ile Flottante, the Bessamer Saloon, and the Cadras Suspendus of Pellarin. Ownership inscription to the title page. Near very good.

Published as the author's doctoral thesis for the CNRS, this work remains the most detailed study of viticulture in Algeria - a full exploration of the geography and history of winemaking in a nation that provided something of a haven during the phylloxera blight. Pages brittle throughout, with some edge chipping to many pages. In original publisher's wrappers, creased at spine, but complete and not unattractive. With the small exlibris stamps - and "Annule" of the Fondation Theirs to wrappers and a few pages. Scarce.
