The Special Edition published by the Inky Parrot Press, UK in 2002. Number 3' of only 36 copies which have all the B/W illustrations hand-coloured by Sylvia Stokeld under the artist s supervision. The total edition size was 360 copies. Signed by John Norris Wood to the limitation page. The Book is in Fine unread condition and housed in the publisher s original slipcase. The book is typeset in Garamond by Charles Hall in Cornwall and printed litho by Adrian Lack at The Senecio Press in Charlbury on Arches Rivoli paper. Bound by The Fine Bindery in Wellingborough, in quarter red morocco over pictorial paper-covered boards. With the publisher s 4 page prospectus and The Guardian newspaper obituary clipping for John Norris Wood loosely inserted. John Norris Wood exhibited at the Fry Gallery, Saffron Walden as part of the Bardfield Artist group. A very handsome production more-so with the very beautiful hand coloured illustrations. The sole UK printing published by Incline Press, UK in 2008. The BOOK is in Fine condition. Errata Slip is present. Bound in the publishers cloth backed decorated boards with a printed title label to the spine. Limited to 550 copies, this is one of the 150 bound up by the Incline Press in a unique decorated paper created by Mark Walmsley. This, an 'ad personem' copy, not numbered, but with the subscriber's name printed upon the colophon. An anthology of poems illustrated with eight original prints by Clare Curtis, Bert Eastman, Rigby Graham, Victoria Hall, Eric Hasse, Paul Kershaw, Ann Muir and Mark Walmsley. The First UK printing published by T. Fisher Unwin, London in 1926. The BOOK is in Very Good condition with some pushing at the spine ends. The black titling remains bright. Light mottling to the cover edges in places and some slight rubbed spots and age related markings. Light toning and dustiness to the text-block. Internally slight spotting to the prelims. Small previous owner's initials stamp to the upper front end-paper. The WRAPPER si complete and is in Very Good- condition. Edge-wear to the upper edges with a little loss at the upper spine tip. Closed tears to the spine have been reinforced with tape to the verso. Small tape reinforcement to the verso of the upper rear spine fold. The price on the spine has faded but is still legible. The striking front panel artwork by E. Lucchesi presents very well in the removable Brodart archival cover. Light toning to the text-block but the top-stain remains bright. Free from inscriptions. Mild offsetting to the blank end-papers. The original WRAPPER is now complete, having undergone some expert professional restoration to the edges and spine ends. Some light creasing to the covers. The Humphrey Spender wrapper artwork now presents very well in the removable Brodart archival cover. A cut signature of the author has been tipped in to the title page. A special Limited Edition published by the Land Press in 1980. The BOOK is in Fine condition. Original blue cloth, titles to spine gilt, decorations to covers gilt and silver designed by James Brockman. With the original blue cloth slipcase as issued in near Fine condition. This is number 31 from an edition of only 400 copies which were Signed by the Author and printed on Barcham Green paper. Accompanied by firstly, the loose Prospectus and secondly, a printed letter from Christie Art auctioneers with a photo of the special leather bound book referring to the prospectus. A very handsome edition of this title originally published in 1964 which has been successfully adapted for the movies starring Colin Firth and directed by Tom Ford.

Faded ties present but the original ribbon ties are not. The covers are dusty with some age related markings and toning to the edges. Internally, light toning to the edges with some minor age related markings. Protected in a loose Mylar archival cover.
