Description:
Volume is tight, solid and complete; no fraying of spine head or heel, no marks of any kind, all pages tight, bright and complete. Boards are semiflexible cardboard. A little age-darkening, 3 corners slightly bumped. Has "BRAZ, M." and "X45" stenciled in white on front board.

Issued to US Navy enlisted personnel since 1902, and a direct successor to manuals produced before literacy was widespread among enlisted personnel, this volume is the complete guide to all aspects of a career in the Navy: Navy life, work, regulations, knots, seamanship, gunnery, landings, arms, squad and platoon schools, and so on.

This edition is of particular interest because it was issued just before the start of World War II and depicts the state of the navy one year before Pearl Harbor.
