Previous owner armorial bookplate (Isaac Holden, politician and inventor of a wool-combing machine, who received a Baronetcy in 1893) and also ink name and address stamped to the front blank free endpapers. Some foxing to the blank endpapers otherwise a very good bright and clean set throughout. All three volumes in fine nineteenth century bindings of full tan calf. Spines with raised bands, the compartments ruled and fully decorated in gilt. Red and green labels, gilt. Boards with double gilt ruled borders. Marbled endpapers. All edges marbled. Some minor rubbing to edges but generally a very good copy in attractive nineteenth century bindings. The bindings are unsigned but very high quality work.

Calligraphic title page, the text written in black, red and green inks. The corresponding page numbers from the 1933 first edition are noted in the margins, and the text contains the unchanged poem on page 119, suggesting that this was copied from a first issue of the first edition.
