Description:
ale University Press, New Haven, 1960. Hardcover. Book Condition: As New. 1st Edition. Unopened book in original tissue wrap. Very fine book in very fine tissue. Introduction: In the years since Robert Nathan's first novel Peter Kindred appeared in 1920, he has published more that forty volumes of prose and poetry, all of them written in a sensitive, incisive style so unique in American letters, and most of them so admirably designed, that he has long been a " collected" favorite of discriminating readers and bibliophiles alike, Yet until now (1960) there has been no published record of Nathan's work beyond a pair of tentative hand lists, long out-of-date and inadequate even at time of compilation. This bibliography lists all of nathan's novels from Peter Kindred 1920 thru Digging the Weans 1957. Also listed are hundreds of other works and translated literature. An important guide to serious Robert Nathan collectors

Description:
About this Item: Privately Printed, Florance Italy, 1928. Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Limited Edition. Lady Chatterley's Lover, Privately printed ( Florence?) Book is in fair condition with a very weak binding and quite a bit of repair work. Book text is complete with a nice title page and a limitation page preceding the text. This rare limited edition # 321/500 is a wonderful candidate for rebinding and restoration. Book is bound in back faux leather with a discernible blind stamp on the front and a very faded but readable spine label. The former owner has stamped his name, address and phone # (very old Merritt 4354) on the front paste down. Someone must have cared a great deal for this book because they spent a great deal of time and tape repairing it. Book is very rare and with the right care, could be quite a serious collectible. New York: Dey Street Books, 2017. Hardcover. New/New. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Book is brand new as is priced jacket ($26.99). this is more than a book, it's the birth of a movement. A true tale that dazzles, touches the heart, and inspires, three-time James Beard Award winner David Leite lay it all on the table. Notes on a Banana is one man's courageous, candid, and inspiring life story. This is an excerpt from the authors explanation of the title. "When I was young and troubled, may mother used to write notes full of love, hope, and dreams on the banana she'd put alongside my breakfast every morning, I believe she hoped these notes would in some small way comfort me as I grappled with the difficulties and challenges that came with being a gawky kid and , later, unbeknown to us, having manic depression". Notes on a banana could be the start of something very positive to the right person. Publishers promotional pieces included.
