Philadelphia / New York: J. B. Lippincott Company, 1948. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with dust jacket that still has original price of $2.75 on the front flap. DJ is toned and scuffed with numerous chips and small tears along the edges. The blue cloth boards underneath are clean except for some minor scuffing and fade spots, mainly at the bottom of the rear board. There is also a stain on the top exterior page edge (see last photo). The internal binding is good pages are tight. There are no signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no underlining or torn pages. The only evidence of handwriting is in the upper corner of the front end page, we can barely see where a price was once penciled and then later erased.
