New York: Scribner's, 1930. Near Fine in a Near Fine dustjacket. Bound in the full blue cloth. Both the spine and the front panel are stamped in gilt (still brilliant). Octavo. Red and beige map-endpapers. [xii] + 394pps., + 24 illustrations. First printing (Scribner's 'A' and seal). There are mild touches of rubbing to the cloth, otherwise clean, bright, square, and soundly bound. The text is immaculate; no previous ownership markings. The dustjacket, glossy in a mylar sleeve, is slightly sunned and toned and has light rubbing wear to the tips and the spine-ends; the original price is intact.
