Book and unclipped jacket are in excellent condition, with slight rubbing to book spine, else fine. Larsson's genius, given that long stretches of the books are tangled with dreary detail and curious Swedish coffee mornings, is to have created characters who we really care about. The action sequences get better and better as the books progress.

In between the quick, often unsympathetic portraits of Lees-Milne's myriad acquaintances are his comments about buildings, which seem to me much more interesting. Although he only covers two years here, his scathing perceptions are rather addictive. Some fading to bottom half of jacket spine, else well-preserved.
