Beige cloth with a printed brown spine label over paper covered boards in a wood-grained pattern. First edition, so stated, octavo, pp. ix, 38. Delicate paper is rubbed through at board tips and a couple of spots on fore-edge. A few small pieces of the paper are hanging loose and will soon flake off with handling. Book ensconced now in a clear protective Ultra-Pro sleeve. No dust jacket.

Done up nicely in green cloth with spine and front panel lettering gilt, quarto, pp. 101 + colophon. This copy complete with the fold out illustration showing quire strips from the Rosenwald Sammelband. Other black and white illustrations, as well.

Newcomen publication Number 1220. Dr. Nelson's speech was May 15, 1984, thus the year 1984 on the title page, but the First Printing is identified as January 1985 on title page verso. Publisher's stapled card stock wrappers, octavo, pp. 23. Illustrated. Safely stowed in a clear display sleeve with white archival backing board.

Some creasing on front wrap; foxing and soiling on both wrappers; staples rusty. Interior clean and unmarked. Withal, about GOOD and still serviceable. This [Lexington] edition scarce in commerce and institutional holdings, with a September 2019 OCLC search returning no copies in the United States (Switzerland and British Library only).

Conference publication Number 2. Seventh edition, 16mo, pp. [viii], 231 plus index.This copy complete with the large fold-out map inside rear wrap. Good and sound in the publisher's lightly soiled laminated wraps with curling fore-edges.

First and likely only printing, octavo, pp. 54. VERY GOOD in the publisher's blue cloth with upper board lettering gilt. Scarce plain paper dust jacket just light shelf wear at tips and a couple of short tears with no loss. Jacket ensconced now in a new sheet of protective archival Brodart.

Publisher's embossed blue cloth with spine lettering gilt, octavo, pp. ix, [x], 208 plus adverts. Twenty-four full page G. F. Nicholls color illustrations as called for. Sketch Map of Gloucestershire. Spine ends and board tips with shelf wear. Bottom rear board tip bumped. Cloth is puckered on rear panel near bottom edge. Scattered foxing throughout. Previous owner has made an amusing declaration in pencil on free front endpaper, to wit: "This is Jessie's book because Edith gave it to her." Boards bowed slightly due to book's being shelved at a bit of an angle.

Publisher's original green cloth with gilt spine and upper panel lettering within blind rule, quarto, pp. 273. Top edge gilt. Fore-edge and bottom edges uncut. Many pages unopened. Tissue-guarded frontis portrait of Swing, with some offsetting to title page despite the tissue. Three other full page illustrations, as called for. Previous owner, using perhaps a dull implement or unsteady hand, caused a small half-moon shaped loss of paper at top of Title page when separating it from Dedication page. That tab of paper missing from Title page remains attached at top edge of Dedication page. Shelf wear at spine ends and board tips. Front hinge weak. About Good condition, withal. Printed at The Torch Press, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Hardcover, octavo, pp. 138. Clever free front end-paper gift inscription from the author to a teacher from Agnes Scott College, asking her to be as kind in her criticism of the author's current work as she was when author was a freshman in her class, circa 1919. Just light shelf wear, as with age and careful handling, and prelims and terminals are lightly foxed. Withal about very good in the publisher's textured red cloth with black spine lettering and blind embossed upper board lettering. FAIR-only dust jacket is quite weary from pre-mylar days, with nicks and chips at spine ends and fold points. Jacket has considerable foxing, as well, but protected from any further wear now by a new sheet of archival BRODART.
