Oakland taught in the Manual Arts Department at NIU from 1915 until his retirement in 1956.

A journal of international news and politics, with particular focus on Ireland, but much on the States, England, English territories, and Europe. O'Connor was an member of the United Irishmen and a participant in the failed Irish Rebellion of 1798, after which he immigrated to the U.S. and maintained a literary career. Scarce, only microfilm or digital copies appear on OCLC, though one must assume a physical copy is present in some institution for that to be the case.
