London: Oxford University Press, 1947 Volume 2 of the four volume set, this covering Essex, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire andHuntingdonshire, Northamptonshire and Rutlandshire, Norfolk and Yorkshire. This was a project of The Pilgrim Trust to preserve a pictorial record of Britain's changing face. A bright clean copy, with jacket having a darkened spine and chips at the spine and fold extremities.

Longman & Co., 1815 "Illustrative of the inherent errors in the former constitution of that kingdom, which, though arrested for a time by the genius of a hero and a patriot, gradually paved the way to its downfall. There is a faded brown ink name on the title page, two bookplates, and faded library stamps on the copyright page. also white accession numbers on the bottom of spine [this is an ex-seminary library book]. Approximately one third of spine covering missing and the front gutter is starting to split. A nice clean copy.

New York: E. Duyckinck, 1825 Bound in contemporary leather, internally clean and bright with very little foxing. Front hinge cracked. Medicinal dynameter and scale of equivalents inside front cover. Third American edition.

New York : Collins & Hannay, 1825 Bound in contemporary calf474 pp. Copy is clean and tight, but damp stained and foxed, 2" strip missing from head of spine and spine is darkened. Also there is a circular depression on the front cover[not a stain] like a quart can had sat on it for some time. Still, not a bad looking copy.

Washington, Pa.: J. Grayson, 1824 tp-18, [nn], 20-348. Copy missing endpapers, otherwise complete, bound in dark contemporary leather with a still legible spine label. There is a college book plate and library accession number on verso of title page [college recently sold off all their rare book room]. Binding is quite solid, page edges with soil, few pages with corner crease, some foxing. A quite presentable copy.

Chicago: Keen & Lee, 1855 Bound in red blind stamped cloth , 282 pp. plus 3 pp ads in front, 1 in back. Frontis and four other illustrations. no map [no evidence it was bound in]. The four illustrations have darkened, gilt spine decorations faded, light foxing throughout.Pages are sharp and crisp. From a private library with an accession plate to the bottom os spine as the only evidence.

New York: Paddell, 1948 Copy of the second edition consisting of 2500 copies. Jaclet has three small chips and several tears.

Thomas B. Mosher, 1900 This copy in tatttered but nearly complete slipcase is ex-college library with book plate and accession numbers on the verso of title page as the only indication.

New York, 1894 From the introduction, an apparent synthesis of fact with fiction withthe author combining what facts he could about Chief Joseph with some conjecture about his family life. This copy has spine fade, a dampstain on the lower edge, and chipping on the first few pages. Frontis is a photo of Chief Joseph.

Cincinnati: Am. Reform Book and Tract Society, 1856 This, a 70 page book with two pages of ads was, according to the ads, written in response to "an offer of $100 for the best manuscript for an Anti-Slavery S.S. book". Book is bound in olive blind-stamped cloth and has somelight brown spots on the cover. There is some foxing and several pages have a small corner crease, otherwise a good clean copy.

New York : William Wood & Co., 1884 Bound in bright mustard colored cloth with black titles and decorations, 335 pp. This a nice clean copy with two nicks on back gutter, tiny spot on title page, and a few small fox spots on the rear end papers.First English translation of the French.

Stuttgart und Leipzig: Deutsche Verlags-, 1911 Bound in red ribbed beveled cloth, 256 pp., 304 illustrations. Touches of rubbing at tips, modest scratches on back cover. Crisp, clean and tight with no marks, signatures, etc. Text in German but the illustrations also captioned in French and English.

London, 1884 Tales from the Arabic of the Breslau and Calcutta [1814-1818] editions of the book of the thousand nights adn one night not occurring in the texts of the work, now first done into English by John Payne in three volumes, copy #178. Three vojumes bound in vellum with gilt decorations. The vellum is darkened with Vol. 1 showing some spots. Top edge gilt with other edges untrimmed. Each volume has a bookplate with volume one having offsetting [browning where some paper was laid inside. Mildly ex-lib with small ink accession numbers on the spine and faded ink stamps on copyright page.

Jacket with a tiny bit of chips at spine extremities and a small piece missing at the bottom back Llist on front flap includes 10 titles including the Motor Girls in the Mountains, indicating this was published circa 1917. Gift inscription for Christmas, 1918 on front endpaper.
